Özet
Turizm, Türkiye ekonomisi açısından oldukça önemli bir sektör konumundadır. Özellikle ülkeye sağladığı döviz girdisi turizm sektörünü ülke ekonomisi açısından daha önemli kılmaktadır. Son yıllarda tüm dünyada olduğu gibi Türkiye'de de turizm sektörü kendisini deniz-kum-güneş üçlüsünden kurtarma ve turizm faaliyetlerini 12 aya yayma çabasına girmektedir. Bu çaba beraberinde ülke içerisinde birçok turizm türünün gelişmesini sağlamıştır. Kongre turizmi mevsimsel gerçekleşmeyen yani yılın her anı yapılabilecek bir turizm türü olmasından dolayı ve katılan kişilerin diğer turizm faaliyetlerine katılan kişilerden daha fazla bir harcama gerçekleştirmesi kongre turizmini dünya üzerinde önemli bir turizm çeşidi kılmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Konya ilinin kongre turizmi arz kaynaklarını ortaya koymak ve şehirde mevcut durumda çalışmakta olan sektör yöneticilerinin şehirdeki kongre turizmi faaliyetlerine yönelik bakış açılarını tespit etmektir. Bu kapsamda şehirdeki 4 ve 5 yıldızlı konaklama işletmelerinde ve A grubu seyahat acentelerinde çalışan yöneticiler ile anket tekniği kullanılarak bir çalışma gerçekleştirilmiş ve elde edilen 176 veri SPSS paket programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara bakıldığında, sektör yöneticileri Konya ilindeki kongre turizmi faaliyetlerinin istenilen düzeyde olmadığını, alt ve üst yapının gelişmesi gerektiğini, kongre turizminin gelişmesinin hem bölgesel hem de ulusal kalkınmaya katkı sağlayacağını düşündükleri görülmektedir.

Tourism is an important sector in terms of Turkey's economy. In particular, the foreing currency input it provides to the country makes tourism sector more important for the country's economy. As well as all over the world in recent years Turkey has also enter the sea-sand-sun tourism sector itself 12 months from rescue efforts to spread triple and tourism activities. This effort has led to the development of many tourism types within the country. Congress tourism is an important tourism type in the world because it is not a seasonal tourism, that is, it is a type of tourism that can be done at any time of the year and that the participants spend more than the people who participate in other tourism activities. The aim of this study is to reveal the supply sources of congress tourism in Konya and to determine the perspectives of the sector executives working in the city about the congress tourism activities in the city. In this context, a study was conducted with the managers working in the 4 and 5 star accommodation establishments in the city and group A travel agencies, using the survey technique, and 176 data obtained were analyzed using the SPSS package program. Considering the results obtained, it is seen that sector managers think that congress tourism activities in Konya are not at the desired level, infrastructure and superstructure should be improved, and the development of congress tourism will contribute to both regional and national development.
