Özet
Bu araştırma, Mâlik b. Enes'in Muvatta' adlı eserinin öncesi ve sonrasıyla oluşum tarihini ve nüshaları arasındaki farklılıklarının nedenlerini ortaya koymayı hedeflemektedir. Bu konu, ulaşılabilen klasik ve modern dönem hadis ve tarih kaynakları esas alınarak tahlilî ve tenkidî bir yöntemle işlenmiştir. İlk bölümde, Muvatta'ın ortaya çıktığı ilk günden itibaren nasıl bir oluşum süreci geçirdiği tespit edilmeye çalışıldı. Hicrî ikinci ve üçüncü asırda Muvatta' ismindeki eserler incelenerek bu tasnif türünün temel özellikleri ortaya kondu. Muvatta'ın telif ediliş serencamı ve bu sürece etki eden siyasi, sosyal ve ilmi amiller konu edildi. Eserin, hadis literatüründe öne çıkan onbeş râvisi ve nüshalarının durumu ele alındı. İkinci bölüm, Muvatta' nüshalarının, tasnif, metin ve isnad açısından hangi temel farklılıkları ne ölçüde taşıdığı konusuna odaklandı. Bu bölümde matbû Muvatta' nüshalarına ilave olarak nüsha ihtilaflarını konu edinen eserler tarandı. Belirlenen ilkeler ışığında, hadis literatürünün imkan verdiği ölçüde ihtilafın kaynağına dair çıkarımlarda bulunuldu. Üçüncü bölümde Muvatta' nüshaları arasında tespit edilen farklılıkların nedenleri Mâlik, ilk nüsha sahipleri ve sonraki râviler olmak üzere üç sınıfta kategorize edildi. Bu çerçevede Mâlik'in hadis meclislerinin durumu ve Muvatta'ın rivayet ve redaksiyon süreçleri üzerinde duruldu. Mâlik'in, vefatına kadar Muvatta'ın ilk versiyonundaki pek çok hadisi çıkardığı iddiası nüshaların kronolojik inceleme ve karşılaştırması yöntemiyle değerlendirildi.

In this study, it is aimed to present that historical process of al-Muwatta, work of Mālik bin Anas, through its compilation and later rectification studies and to reveal the reasons of differentiations among al-Muwatta' copies. It is handled the issue in an analytical and critical way based on the accessible sources covering classical and modern periods about the prophetic traditions (hadith) and history. First of all, we tried to determine how al-Muwatta' underwent a formation process as from first day it was emerged. Therefore, at the beginning we examined the works called“muvatta”in second and third centuries of the hegira and we presented characteristics of this classification type. Afterwards, we explained the compilation adventure of al-Muwatta' and which conditions are influential on that procedure in terms of politics, society and science. Also, we analysed fifteen prominent narrators of al-Muwatta' in the hadith literature and positions of al-Muwatta' copies narrated by those personalities. As to the second chapter, we focused on al-Muwatta' copies. That is to say, these copies have which distinctions with regard to classification, text and chain of transmission and to what extent they differ from each other. Through this section, in addition to printed al-Muwatta' copies, we reviewed such works discussed the controversies of the copies. In consideration of the settled principles out of this work, we made some inferences concerning the motives behind the controversies within the boundaries of hadith literature. In the third chapter, we divided into three categories that reasons for the differentiations of the copies as Mālik, first copy owners and later narratores. Accordingly, we approached to circumstances of Mālik's groups (majlis) of hadith and transmission and editing processes of al-Muwatta'. In conclusion, by means of the methods of analysing and comparing the copies chronologically, we assessed the claim that Mālik subtracted some Prophetic traditions from first version al-Muwatta'.
