Özet
Duygusal zekâ kavramı, kişinin kendini ve çevresiyle olan ilişkilerini geliştiren bir unsurdur. Günümüzde gittikçe önem kazanmaya başlayan bu kavram, yöneticiler tarafından da önemsenmiş çalışanlar bu yönde geliştirilmeye odaklanılmıştır. Her alanda yoğun bir şekilde rekabet yaşanan örgütlerde personelin performansını etkileyen birçok etmen bulunmaktadır. Bu bağlamda işe alımlarda uygun işe uygun kişi seçilmesine dikkat edilmelidir. Çalışanların yaptıkları iş ile uyumu arttıkça performansın da artacağı düşünülmektedir. Tükenmişlik kavramı ise, kişilerin performansını olumsuz yönde etkileyen etmenlerden biridir ve çözümlenmediği takdirde hem örgüt açısından hem de birey açısından maddi ve manevi kayıplara neden olmaktadır. Tokat ili Erbaa ilçesi organize sanayi bölgesinde tekstil sektöründe çalışanların duygusal zekâ düzeylerinin ve yaptıkları iş ile uyumunun tükenmişlik düzeylerine etkisinin tespiti ve hem bireysel hem de örgütsel düzeyde tükenmişlik ile mücadele edebilme yollarının sunulması çalışmanın amacını oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada, duygusal zekâ ve kişi-iş uyumunun tükenmişliğe pozitif yönde etki ettiği tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmanın sonunda ise tükenmişlik ile mücadele edebilmek için önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

The concept of emotional intelligence is a factor that develops both the individual and his/her relations with the surroundings. This concept, becoming increasingly important these days, has also been paid attention by the managers who focused on developing the employees accordingly. Organizations which are home to an intense competition in all areas accommodate many factors that affect the performance of personnel. In that sense, the process of recruitment must be based on the principle of choosing the right person for the right job. It is believed that performance increases as employees are more fit for the job they perform. The concept of burnout is one of the factors that adversely affect the individual's performance and, if remains unsolved, leads to material and moral losses for both the organization and the individual. This study is aimed at determining how the degree of burnout is affected by the emotional intelligence levels and fitness for the job of the textile sector employees in the industrial estate of Erbaa town in Tokat province, and at presenting solutions for the fight against burnout at both individual and organizational levels. The study determines that emotional intelligence and person-job fit have positive effects on burnout. The paper ends with some suggestions offered for the struggle against burnout.
