Özet

Önceki dönemlerden ve medeniyetlerden günümüze kalan doğal ve kültürel mirasın tanınması, korunması, sunumu ve bunların gelecek nesillere aktarımı amacıyla UNESCO üye ülkeleri 1972 yılında 'Dünya Kültürel ve Doğal Mirasının Korunmasına Dair Sözleşme'yi kabul etmişlerdir. Bu miras alanlarının korunması, sunulması, yönetilmesi, değerlendirilmesi ve kültürel miras listesine kabulü çerçevesinde UNESCO tarafından çeşitli ölçütler ve koşullar geliştirilmiştir. UNESCO bu yerleri 'üstün evrensel değer'e sahip doğal ve kültürel alanlar olarak görmektedir. Bu anlamda ülkemiz, UNESCO'nun ön gördüğü bu özelliği taşıyan bir çok doğal ve kültürel alana sahiptir. On binlerce yıl bir çok medeniyete ev sahipliği yapmış Anadolu toprakları, hem doğal güzellikleri hem de bu medeniyetlerin bıraktıkları binlerce izler ile korunması zorunlu bir coğrafyadır. 2020 yılı itibariyle UNESCO Somut Kültürel Miras Alanları Listesi'nde Türkiye'den 16 değer kültürel olarak, 2 değer ise hem kültürel hem de doğal olarak bu listede yer bulmuştur. Göreme ve Kapadokya bu listede hem kültürel hem de doğal özellikleri taşıyan iki bölgemizden bir tanesidir ve bu listeye 1985 yılında kabul edilerek ülkemizden bu listeye ilk kabul edilen üç bölgesinden birisi olmuştur. Bu miras alanı bir çok noktasıyla görülesi ve tanınası özellikler taşımasıyla birlikte, özellikle Göreme Açık Hava Müzesi alanı hem kültürel temanın büyük yansımalarını barındırması, hem de coğrafyanın doğal özelliklerini yansıtması bakımından büyük önem arz etmektedir. Müze, 2017 yılı Müze ve Ören Yeri ziyaretçi sayısı istatistiklerine göre 682.785 kişinin ziyaretiyle ülkemizde en çok ziyaret edilen üçüncü açık hava müzesi olmuştur. Bu bağlamda bu çalışma Göreme Açık Hava Müzesi kısımlarının tanıtılmasını ile Göreme ve Kapadokya Kayalık Sit Alanı ile ilgili 2006 ve 2014 yıllarında hazırlanmış olan periyodik raporlama (taraf ülkelerin, mevcut sözleşmenin gerekliliklerinin yerine getirilmesine dair Dünya Mirası Komitesi'ne altı yılda bir sundukları raporlar) verilerinin değerlendirilmesini amaçlamaktadır.

The Member States of UNESCO adopted the 'Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage' in 1972. The main purpose of this convention is the recognition, preservation and presentation of the natural and cultural heritage that has reached from the past to the present and its transfer to future generations. Various criteria and conditions have been developed by UNESCO in the framework of the protection, presentation, management and evaluation of these heritage sites and in the list of cultural heritage. These areas are accepted as having“outstanding universal value”by UNESCO. In this sense, our country has many natural and cultural areas that have these characteristic features that UNESCO has foreseen. The Anatolian lands, which have hosted many civilizations for tens of thousands of years, have a geography that has both natural beauties and thousands of traces left by these civilizations. As of the 2020 in UNESCO Tangible Cultural Heritage List 16 value from Turkey has found a place in this list as cultural and 2 sites of this values were accepted to the list as both cultural and natural. Goreme and Cappadocia are one of the two regions that have both cultural and natural characteristics in this list and also one of three regions of the first accepted sites from Turkey to the list. The area of this heritage site is seen with many points and features, especially the field of Goreme Open Air Museum because at the same time both the great reflections of great theme and natural features, it has a great importance. The museum has been the 3rd most visited museum in our country with a visit of 682,785 visitors according to the statistics of the number of visitors to the Museum and the Ruins in 2017. In this context, this study aims to introduce the Göreme Open Air Museum sections and to evaluate the periodic reports of Göreme and Cappadocia Rock Site in 2006 and 2014 (reports, submitted for every six years, by the contracting states to the World Heritage Committee for the fulfillment of the requirements of the existing contract).
