Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı, Poppergil bilim felsefesinin iktisatta metot tartışmalarındaki yerini araştırmaktır. Bu amaçla Poppergil bilim felsefesinin bileşenleri, hem bilim felsefesi tartışmalarındaki yeri, hem de iktisatta metot tartışmalarında ele alınış biçimi gözetilerek irdelenmiştir. Bu itibarla önde gelen iktisat metodolojistlerinin Poppergil bilim felsefesini ele aldıkları yazın, Poppergil bilim felsefesinin temel tartışma alanları olan eleştirel akılcılık, yanlışlamacılık ve durumsal çözümleme ekseninde ele alınmıştır. Araştırmacılar Popper'in iktisat üzerindeki doğrudan etkisinin sınırlı olduğu konusunda büyük ölçüde hemfikir olmakla birlikte, iktisatta metot tartışmalarını anlayabilmek için Poppergil bilim felsefesini ve onun metot tartışmalarındaki yerini anlamanın da son derece önemli olduğu kanısının paylaşıldığı görülmüştür. Ayrıca iktisatta metot tartışmalarının kökleri ve metot tartışmalarının temel problemleri dikkate alındığında, iktisadın felsefeden ayrılarak ayrı bir bilim olma serüveni ile Poppergil bilim felsefesinin metot tartışmalarında ele alınış biçimi arasında bir ilişki olduğu gözlenmiş ve iki sürecin de benzer motivasyonlarla şekillendiği ortaya konulmuştur.

The aim of this study is to investigate the place of Popperian philosophy of science in the debates of economic methodology. For this purpose, the components of Popperian philosophy of science are discussed by considering both its place in philosophy of science debates and how it is approached in the methodology of economics. In this respect, the literature, in which the leading economics methodologists discuss the Popperian philosophy of science, is examined by focusing on the main areas of Popperian philosophy of science, which are critical rationalism, falsifiability and situational analysis. Although the researchers agree to a great extent that Popper's direct influence on economics is limited, they come to agree that it is extremely important to understand both Popperian philosophy of science and its place in the methodology debates in order to understand method debates in economics in a broad sense. Moreover, considering the roots of method discussions in economics and its basic problems, it is observed that there is a relationship between the process of economics being a separate science by separating from philosophy and the way Popperian philosophy of science have been handled in method discussions. It is revealed that both processes are shaped with similar motivations.
