Özet

ÖZET Dünyada ve ülkemizde son dönemlerde büyük açıklıktı yapılarda oldukça yaygın kullanım alanı bulan çatı ışıklıklarının gelişimi, türleri, yapısal yönden incelenmeleri, tasarımlarında etkili olan faktörler ve malzemeleri bu tezin ana konularını oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmanın birinci bölümünde, tezin konusu, amacı ve kapsamı hakkındaki bilgileri kendisine konu edinen, giriş bölümü yer almaktadır. ikinci bölümde büyük açıklıktı yapıların ortaya çıkış ve gelişimleri ile taşıyıcı sistem türleri ele alınmıştır. Tezin üçüncü bölümünde ise doğal aydınlatma ve bu amaçla büyük açıklıklı yapılarda uygulanan çatı ışıklıklarının ortaya çıkışı ve gelişme süreci ile çatı ışıklık sistem türleri yer almaktadır. Dördüncü bölümde büyük açıklıktı yapılarda uygulanan çatı ışıklık sistemlerinin tasarımında etkili olan faktörler incelenmiştir. Beşinci bölüm, büyük açıklıktı yapılarda uygulanan çatı ışıklık sistemlerinin yapımında kullanılan malzeme ve elemanlar özellikleri ile birlikte ele alınarak incelenmiştir. Altıncı bölümde ise diğer bölümlerde ele alınan konular Türkiye'de uygulanan bir yapı örneği üzerinde değerlendirilerek, bu bilgiler ışığında seçilen örneğin olumlu ve olumsuz yönleri detayları ile birlikte sunulmuştur. XXSon bölümde ise araştırmanın bu bölümüne kadar olan bölümlerinde ortaya çıkan sonuçlar yer almaktadır. XXI

SUMMARY The opennings on the facade of the wide span buildings are generally can not designed qualified for the ventilation and lightings of the spaces. The buildings which are lightened and vantilated complately by artificial elements usually are not preffered because of the difficulties that are confront during the energy saving and also are not suggested psychologically by the users, thus in this type of buildings mostly natural lighting and natural ventilation are suggested and for this reason new techniques and new methods in the lighting and ventilation system has been developed. Nowadays, the progress that are confront during the development of the natural lighting systems that can be used in wide span buildings is admitted both psychologically and physically satisfiable. Thus, more investments in this subject are expected to be supported and a very serious sector about this subject which has been developed in the construction market are expected to be expanded to all over the world. In the case of skylights, some determinents, for example type of the materials, its form, or type of the construction systems, has to be resolved before the designing period. This kind of attitude will form the requested level of required daylight in the building. The aim of this thesis is to make a research in the development of the skylight systems that has been applied in the wide span buildings and also to explain the discriminative criters in the design period of this kind of buildings by examining the system XXllunit by unit as well as by comparing. According to this aspect the thesis has been made up by six chapters. Chapter one is an introduction to the subject. Here the importance of the subject is indicated and both the limits and the strategy to be followed are clearly explained. Also in this chapter, the outline of the research and the method to be used is put forward. İn chapter two, wide span buildings and its type of structures are investigated. The consept of structures which used in the wide span buildings are explained according to different ideas of various writers. It is mentioned also that these structures are development on architecture history. According to the different sources, the definition of structures which are used in the concept of wide span buildings are as in the following;. Skeleton frame structures. Shell structures. Space frame structures. Suspended-tensioned structures. Pneumatic structures In chapter three, the historical period of the skylights with the progress of the daylight entering to the inner space has been explained and by this progress the new system techniques and new construction systems that are used in this kind of buildings has been introduced. In this chapter also the types of the XXlllskylight system has been studied and these types are explained in the main topics;. The skylights that are formed by changing the roof construction system.. The skylights that are formed by changing the roof covering system. The types of the skylights that are formed by changing the roof construction system are;. Sawtooth roof. Monitor roof are introduced and its construction methods has been explained. The types of the skylights that are formed by changing the covering system are;. The skylights which is covering roof structure is covered complately with light permeable material. The skylights which is covering roof structure is covered partly with light permeable material. The skylights that are formed by the covering systems that rise upon the roof (for example domelights) In the chapter four, the main factors that affect the design period of the skylights has been introducted. Although the type of the system or the type of the material of the skylight changes, some main factors always will be very important during the design period of the skylights. These XXIVfactors which will be discriminative criter in the design of the skylights are;. Bearing. Protection. Heat control.Water control. Sound control. Sunlight control and shading. Fire control and ventilation. The comfort in the construction and installation. The comfort in the maintanance and repair In this chapter these important factors has been introduced and in order to supply the required circumstances in the system, the precautions and the methods that has to be applied are explained. In the chapter five the elements and the materials that are used in the construction of the skylight systems are introduced systemically. These are;. Bearing system and its materials. Main bearing system. Secondary bearing system. Covering system and its materials. Glass type covering system materials. Plastic type covering system materials. Sunlight control system and its materials and elements. Insulation and protection system and their materials. Anchorage and fitting materials and elements. Accessory elementsAll of the materials in this subject are explained according to their characteristic types and it also enables comparisons with each other. In the chapter six, a simple area has been determinated and this sample area which is“Batı Ticaret Merkezi Temalı Parkı, Tatilya”is introduced according to these technique documentation aspects and this sample is investigated by its negative and positive ways with examining its system details. At the conclusion part of the thesis the general subject is evaluated and the successioned about this subject are explained. XXVI
