Özet
Bu çalışmada, tarihsel süreç içerisinde organik ve sentetik klarinet kamışlarının yapısal ve akustik açıdan değerlendirilmesinde iki farklı kamışın karşılaştırılarak, organik ve sentetik kamışın arasındaki farklılığın incelenmesi hedeflenmiştir. Türkiye ve uluslararası olmak üzere klarinet sanatçılarına, öğrencilerine ve solistlerine 9 sorudan oluşan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu uygulanmıştır. İki bölümden oluşan bu çalışmanın birinci bölümünde, başlangıcından günümüzde kadar devam eden süreçte klarinetin tarihsel gelişimi incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın temelini oluşturan ikinci bölümde ise organik ve sentetik klarinet kamışlarının tarihsel gelişimi ile yapısal ve akustik açıdan klarinet sanatçıları tarafından tespit edilen farklılıklar ortaya konmuştur. Araştırma betimsel bir çalışma olup, elde edilen veriler nitel çözümleme tekniğine göre yorumlanmıştır. Sonuç olarak; araştırmada klarinette istenilen tonun elde edilmesinde etkili bir parça olan kamış çeşitleri arasında, sağlıklı ses çıkartılmasında organik kamışın daha etkili olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

The goal of this work is to perform a comparative study of clarinet reeds through which the differences between the two types of reed, organic and synthetic, can be evaluated within an historic framework and from both a structural and an acoustic perspective. The study was conducted through a limited number of semi-structured interview forms (each consisting of 9 questions) which were completed by both Turkish and international clarinet artists, soloist and students, and which targeted the differences in the reeds they used. The first section of this two-part study is a historical examination of the process, from its inception through today, through which the varieties of the most important aspect of sound production on the clarinet, organic and synthetic reeds, were developed. The second of this study's two main parts presents performance-related differences between the structural and acoustic aspects of organic and synthetic clarinet reeds within the clarinet repertoire as evaluated by clarinetists. This is a descriptive study and its data have been interpreted through qualitative analysis methods. In this country, clarinet-related studies generally focus on matters relating to the historical and technical development and repertoire of the instrument. In contrast, this study focuses on evaluating the varieties of reed used in clarinet playing and which constitute the most important aspect of the clarinet's sound production and intonation. This, in turn, sheds light on the structural and acoustic differences between organic and synthetic reeds as used by clarinetists within the wider family of woodwind instruments.
