Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı ortaokul öğrencilerinin fen bilimleri dersine ilişkin algıladıkları geribildirimleri tutum ve farklı değişkenler açısından incelemektir. Çalışmanın deseni nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden ilişkisel tarama modeli olarak belirlenmiştir. Çalışmanın örneklemini Mardin ilinde görev alan ve mesleki kıdemleri farklı olan fen bilimleri öğretmenlerinin toplam 269 kişiden oluşan 6, 7 ve 8. sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Demografik Bilgi Formu, Fen Bilimleri Dersi Geribildirim Algı Ölçeği ve Fen ve Teknoloji Dersi Tutum Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Uygulama Mardin ili merkez ilçesinde yalnızca bir devlet okulunda gerçekleştirilmiştir. Uygulama esnasında öğretmen ve öğrencilere çalışmanın neye hizmet edeceği açıklanarak gönüllü katılım sağlanmıştır. Toplanan verilerin çözümlenmesi SPSS 22.0 Paket programı yardımıyla Mann Whitney U, Kruskal Wallis ve Korelasyon Analizi ile yapılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular kapsamında öğrencilerin öğretmenleri tarafından aldıkları geribildirimlerin fen bilimleri dersine yönelik tutumları ile ilişkili olduğu, akademik başarıyı etkilediği, cinsiyete göre alınan geribildirimlerin farklılık gösterdiği ancak sınıf seviyelerine göre alınan geribildirimlerin anlamlı farklılıklar oluşmadığı şeklindedir. Elde edilen bulgular ışığında öğrencilerin aldıkları geribildirimlerin öğrencilerin tutumlarını etkilediği, akademik başarılarında farklılaşmaya neden olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Özellikle negatif geribildirimlerin öğrencilerin gerek tutum gerekse akademik başarılarına olumsuz yansıdığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Araştırma doğrultusunda geribildirimin eğitimdeki önemine bir kez daha ulaşılmış olup geribildirim kullanım sıklığının artırılması önerilmektedir. Araştırma sadece fen bilimleri dersine yönelik yapılmış olup araştırmacılar tarafından diğer dersler için de gerçekleştirilmesi önerilmektedir.

The aim of this study is to examine secondary school students' perceived feedback on science course in terms of attitudes and different variables. The design of the study was determined as the survey model, one of the quantitative research methods. The sample of the study consists of 6th, 7th and 8th grade students, consisting of 269 people, of science teachers working in Mardin province and having different professional seniority. Demographic Information Form, Science Course Feedback Perception Scale and Science and Technology Course Attitude Scale were used as data collection tools in the research. The application was carried out in only one public school in the central district of Mardin. Voluntary participation was ensured by explaining what the study would serve to teachers and students during the implementation. Analysis of the collected data was done with the help of SPSS 22.0 Package program with Mann Whitney U, Kruskal Wallis and Correlation Analysis. Within the scope of the findings obtained from the research, it is stated that the feedback received by the teachers of the students is related to their attitudes towards the science course, affects the academic achievement, the feedback received according to gender differs, but the feedback received according to the grade levels does not differ significantly. In the light of the findings, it was concluded that the feedback received by the students affected the attitudes of the students and caused differentiation in their academic achievements. It has been concluded that especially negative feedback reflects negatively on students' attitudes and academic achievements. In line with the research, the importance of feedback in education has been reached once again and it is recommended to increase the frequency of feedback use. The research was carried out only for the science course, and it is recommended by the researchers that it be carried out for other courses as well.
