Özet
Proje yönetimi, dünya çapında yaygınlaşmış yönetim sistemlerinin başında gelmektedir. Proje yönetiminde kapsam çerçevesinde zaman, maliyet ve kalite temel bileşenleri bulunmaktadır. Proje, bu bileşenler ve kapsam çerçevesinde disiplinli bir yaklaşım ile yönetilmesi gerekmektedir. Bu nedenle, proje yönetiminin önemli ve yönlendirici bir rolü bulunmaktadır. Proje yönetiminin uygulanmasında, firmaların kendi dinamiklerine göre geliştirdikleri proje yönetimi metodolojileri vardır. Ancak, amacı proje yönetimi aktivitelerini dünya genelinde geliştirmek ve kâr amacı gütmeden proje yönetim standartlarını sunan organizasyonlar vardır. Bunlardan bazıları Japonya Proje Yönetimi Derneği (Project Management Association of Japan- PMAJ), Kontrollü Ortamlardaki Projeler (Projects in Controlled Environments- PRINCE2), Uluslararası Proje Yönetimi Derneği (International Project Management Association- IPMA), Proje Yönetimi Derneği (Association for Project Management- APM)'dir. Ancak, dünya çapında en çok kabul gören proje yönetimi metodolojisi“Proje Yönetimi Enstitüsü”(Project Management Institute- PMI) tarafından oluşturulmuştur. PMI, proje yönetim süreçlerini on farklı bilgi alanında toplamıştır. Bu bilgi alanları ile tüm proje tipleri ve proje yönetimini uygulamak isteyen kuruluşlar için bir temel sunmaktadır. Kuruluşlarda bu standartlara bağlı olarak kendi projelerine ve operasyonlarına uyarlayabilmektedir. Proje bazlı çalışan sektörlerden bir tanesi de beyaz eşya sektörüdür. Bu tez çalışmasında, gerçek bir beyaz eşya firmasındaki proje yönetimi ele alınmıştır. Teknolojinin gelişmesi ile birlikte kullanıcılar ürünlerde farklı fonksiyon veya estetikli ürün arayışına girmiştir. Pazarın bu taleplerini karşılayabilmek için, sektörde oldukça iii fazla proje ortaya çıkmaktadır. Projelerin fazlalığı ile şirketler arasındaki rekabet artmıştır. Pazara daha kısa zamanda, daha kaliteli ürünlerin sunulmasının başarı yolu ise proje yönetim metodolojisini en doğru şekilde uygulamaktan geçer. Bu tez çalışmasında, uluslararası bir beyaz eşya firmasının proje yönetim sistemi PMI metodolojisi ile incelenmiş olup firmanın proje yönetimi sisteminde iyileştirme sağlaması amaçlanmıştır. Proje yönetim ekibi, PMI standartlarını uygulamaya çalışmaktadır. Bu tez çalışmasında firmanın PMI standartlarını tam olarak uygulayıp uygulamadığı üzerinde inceleme yapılmıştır. Özet olarak, kuruluş PMI standartlarının projelerde tam olarak uygulanması durumunda, projelere zaman, maliyet ve verimlilik anlamında olumlu katkı sağlayacağından hemfikirdir. Bu inceleme sonucunda, eksiklikler göz önüne alınarak iyileştirmeler yapılması konusunda da çalışma desteklenmiştir.

Project management is one of the most widespread management systems worldwide. Within the scope of project management, there are basic components of time, cost and quality. The project needs to be managed with a disciplined approach within the framework of these components and scope. Therefore, project management has an important and guiding role. In the implementation of project management, companies have project management methodologies developed according to their own dynamics. However, there are organizations whose aim is to improve their project management activities around the world and which offer non-profit project management standards. Some of them are Project Management Association of Japan (PMAJ), Projects in Controlled Environments (PRINCE2), International Project Management Association (IPMA), Association for Project Management (APM). However, the most accepted project management methodology worldwide was created by the Project Management Institute (PMI). PMI has gathered project management processes in ten different knowledge areas. It provides a foundation for all types of projects and organizations wishing to implement project management with these knowledge areas. Organizations can adapt these standards to their own projects and operations. One of the project-based sectors is the white goods sector. In this thesis, project management in a real white goods company is discussed. With the development of technology, users have sought products with different functions or aesthetics. In order to meet these demands of the market, many projects are emerging in the sector. With the excess of projects, the competition between companies has increased. The way to success in offering better quality products to the market in a shorter time is to apply the project management methodology in the most accurate way. In this thesis, the project v management system of an international white goods company was examined with the PMI methodology and it was aimed to improve the company's project management system. The project management team strives to implement PMI standards. In this thesis study, it has been examined whether the company fully implements the PMI standards. In summary, the organization agrees that if the PMI standards are fully implemented in the projects, it will contribute positively to the projects in terms of time, cost and efficiency. As a result of this review, the study was supported to make improvements considering the deficiencies.
