Özet (Çeviri)

The autism spectrum is a lifelong disorder characterised by inefficiencies in the social-communicative domain (APA, 2013). The limited ability about identifies the face identity, and emotional expressions on the face have linked with social dysfunctions. In general literature, these two skills are examined separately, and there are inconsistent results regarding both identity processing and emotion processing in individuals with autism. In the literature review, similarly mixed results were found as in the general literature. While some studies show that individuals with autism do not differ from those with typical development in identity processing (Dwyer, Xu, & Tanaka,2018), some studies say otherwise (Oruc, Shafai, & Iarocci, 2018). The same applies to emotion processing, even more complex. While some studies say that individuals with autism do not recognise only negative emotions (Enticott et al., 2014), another research shows that this deficiency applies to both positive and negative emotions (Sucksmith, Allison, Baron-Cohen, Chakrabarti, & Hoekstra, 2013). The possible causes of the different results found in face processing procedure are discussed in detail and critically. As a result of this discussion, several suggestions were made for future research. Even though the intensity may ultimately change from research to research, there are some undeniable impairments in the areas of identity and emotion processing in adults with ASD.
