Özet (Çeviri)

In this study, it was aimed to determine the perception of privacy of intensive care nurses and the factors affecting them. It was carried out with 284 nurses who agreed to participate in the study from 360 nurses working in adult intensive care units in City Hospital between February 2021 and August 2021. The data of the study were obtained using demographic information form and privacy scale. Spss 25 program was used in data analysis. The results were evaluated in the 95% confidence range and p< 0.05. When the score of the scale questions is evaluated; The highest score that individuals can get from these scale questions is 5 and the lowest score is 1. Scores close to 5 points indicate that individuals observe patient privacy and personal confidentiality. In this study, the Cronbach Alpha Internal Consistency Coefficient of the scale was 0.93. It was determined that 85.2% of the intensive care nurses were under the age of 30, 68.3% were women and 78.9% were single. It was determined that 84.2% of the nurses had a bachelor's degree, 83.8% of them had less than five years of professional experience and the number of beds in the unit, where about half of them worked, ranged from 9 to 16. It was determined that 84.3% of the intensive care nurses participated in the privacy training, 80.6% were informed about the violation of privacy, and 89.1% thought that they had information about the rights of the patients and their relatives. It was identified that the average score of nurses from the Privacy Scale was 0.46 ± 4.46. Physical intimacy from high to low of lower dimensions (4.60 ± 0.52), privacy of those who cannot protect themselves (4.58 ± 0.54), providing suitable environment (4.50 ± 0.58), privacy of private life/personal information (4.49 ± 0.50) and gender-related privacy (4.18 ± 0.67). There was a statistical difference between the age groups of intensive care nurses who participated in the study, their education level and the number of beds of the unit they worked in and the averages of the Privacy Scale subdivision score. In the study, significant differences were found in all subdivisions of the participation of intensive care nurses in privacy trainings, their reading of the privacy section of the Patient Rights Regulation, their views on the privacy possibilities of the unit they work for, their knowledge of privacy violations, and their knowledge of the rights of patients and their relatives. In order to improve the differences in patient privacy, we believe that it would be correct to conduct such studies in larger groups and share the results with individuals.
