Özet

Bu araştırmada, lise 9. ve 10. sınıf öğrencilerinin matematik dersi başarı hedef yönelimlerinin (görev yaklaşma, görev kaçınma, öz yaklaşma, öz kaçınma, diğer yaklaşma ve diğer kaçınma) akademik başarıyı yordamasında başarı duygularının (zevk, umut, gurur, öfke, kaygı, utanç, umutsuzluk ve can sıkıntısı) aracılık rolünün kontrol – değer kuramı çerçevesinde incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında 2043 öğrenciden veri toplanmıştır. İlk aşamada Başarı Hedef Ölçeği ve Başarı Duyguları Ölçeği Türk kültürüne uyarlanmıştır. Ölçek uyarlama çalışması kapsamında 1047 öğrenciden veri toplanmıştır. Geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmalarında altı alt boyut ve 18 maddeden oluşan Başarı Hedef Ölçeği ve sekiz alt boyut ve 80 maddeden oluşan Başarı Duyguları Ölçeği'nin Türk örneklemine uygun geçerlilik ve güvenilirliğine ilişkin kanıtlar toplanmıştır. İkinci aşamada ise, lise öğrencilerinin matematik dersi başarı hedef yönelimlerinin akademik başarıyı yordamasında başarı duygularının aracılık rolü kontrol – değer kuramı çerçevesinde incelenmiştir. Bu çalışma kapsamında ise 996 öğrenciden veri toplanmıştır. Çalışmada veri toplama araçları olarak Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Matematik Dersi Başarı Hedef Ölçeği (MDBHÖ) ve Matematik Dersi İle İlgili Başarı Duyguları Ölçeği (MDBDÖ) kullanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularında, MDBHÖ alt boyutlarından görev yaklaşma, öz yaklaşma ve diğer yaklaşma ile MDBDÖ alt boyutlarından zevk, umut, gurur ve can sıkıntısı arasında anlamlı ilişkiler olduğu bulunmuştur. MDBHÖ alt boyutlarından görev yaklaşma, görev kaçınma ve diğer yaklaşma boyutları ile MDBDÖ alt boyutlarından umutsuzluk boyutunun akademik başarı puanı üzerinde etkili olduğu görülmüştür. Akademik başarı puanı üzerinde görev yaklaşma, öz yaklaşma, diğer yaklaşma ve diğer kaçınma başarı hedef boyutları umutsuzluk başarı duygusu boyutu aracılığıyla dolaylı etkiye sahipken aynı zamanda anlamlı biçimde doğrudan etkiye de sahip olduğu bulunmuştur. Araştırma sonuçları ilgili alanyazın dikkate alınarak tartışılmış ve araştırma kapsamında elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda geleceğe yönelik öneriler sunulmuştur.

In this study, it was aimed to investigate within the framework of control-value theory the mediating role of achievement emotions (enjoyment, hope, pride, anger, anxiety, shame, hopelessness and boredom) in the prediction of academic achievement of the 9th and 10th grade high school students' achievement goal orientations (mastery-approach, mastery-avoidance, self-approach, self-avoidance, other-approach and other-avoidance) in the mathematics class. Within the scope of the research, data were collected from 2043 students in total. In the first stage of the study, the Achievement Goal Questionnaire and the Achievement Emotions Questionnaire were adapted to Turkish culture. Within the scope of the scale adaptation study the data were collected from 1047 students. In the validity and reliability studies, of the Achievement Goal Questionnaire consisting of six sub-dimensions and 18 items and the Achievement Emotions Questionnaire consisting of eight sub-dimensions and 80 items were collected evidences for the validity and reliability in accordance with the Turkish sample. Secondly, it was aimed to investigate within the framework of control-value theory the mediating effect of achievement emotions between achievement goal orientations and academic achievement score of high school students' in the mathematics class. Within the scope of this study the data were collected from 996 students. In this study, Personal Information Form, Mathematics Achievement Goal Questionnaire (MDBHÖ), and Mathematics Class Achievement Emotions Questionnaire (MDBDÖ) were used as data collection tools. In the research findings, it was found that there were significant relationships between mastery approach, self approach and other approach, which are sub-dimensions of MDBHÖ, and enjoyment, hope, pride and boredom, which are sub-dimensions of MDBDÖ. It was seen that the dimensions of mastery approach, mastery avoidance and other approaching to the MDBHÖ sub-dimensions and the hopelessness dimension to the MDBDÖ sub-dimensions were effective on the academic achievement score. Whereas mastery approach, self approach, other approach and other avoidance achievement goal dimensions have indirect effects on academic achievement score through hopelessness achievement emotion dimension, it has also been found to have a significant direct effect. The results of the research were discussed considering the relevant literature and suggestions intended for future were presented with the findings obtained within the scope of the research.
