Özet
Bu çalışmada, 5E öğrenme döngüsü modeline dayalı öğretim yöntemi kullanımının matematik dersinde öğrencilerin akademik başarısına etkisi araştırılmıştır. Çalışma 2021-2022 eğitim ve öğretim yılının 2. döneminde, bir ortaokulda öğrenim gören 55 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada başarı yönünden birbiriyle denk durumda olan 7/A ve 7/B sınıfları kura yöntemi ile 7/A sınıfı kontrol, 7/B sınıfı ise deney grubu olarak belirlenmiştir. Kontrol grubunda 27 öğrenci bulunurken deney grubu 28 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Deney grubuna 5E öğrenme modeline uygun hazırlanan etkinliklerle, kontrol grubuna ise Meb ders kitabındaki etkinliklerle ders işlenmiştir. Araştırmanın modeli olarak, ön test – son test kontrol gruplu deneysel model kullanılmıştır. Ölçme aracı olarak araştırmacı tarafından uzman görüşü alınarak geliştirilen içeriğinde açık uçlu sorularla çoktan seçmeli soruların bulunduğu iki aşamalı oran orantı başarı testi ön test ve son test olarak kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler spss 26.00 istatistik programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada verilerin analizinde mann-whitney u ve wilcoxon işaretli sıralar testi kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin her soruya vermiş oldukları cevapların frekans ve yüzde dağılımları çıkarılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular incelendiğinde, öğrencilerin son test puanlarının ön test puanlarına göre anlamlı düzeyde yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Sonuçlara göre, oran orantı konusunun öğretiminde 5E öğrenme döngüsü modeline uygun olarak hazırlanan ders etkinlikleri ile işlenen derslerin, Meb ders kitabındaki etkinliklerle işlenen derslere oranla anlamlı düzeyde daha etkili olduğu bulunmuştur.

In this study, the effect of using teaching method based on the 5E learning cycle model on students' academic success in mathematics was investigated. The study was carried out with 55 students studying at S.H Secondary School in the second term of the 2021-2022 academic year. In the research, 7/A and 7/B classes, which are equivalent to each other in terms of success, were determined by drawing lots as the 7/A class as the control group and the 7/B class as the experimental group. While there were 27 students in the control group, the experimental group consisted of 28 students. Lesson were taught to the experimental group with the activities prepared in accordance with the 5E learning model, and to the control group with the activities in the MEB textbook.Experimental model with pretest-posttest control group was used as the model of the research. As a measurement tool, the two-stage ratio-proportion achievement test, which includes open-ended questions and multiple choice questions, was used as a pre-test and post-test. The obtained data were analyzed with SPSS 26.00 statistical program. Mann-Whitney U and Wilcoxon signed-rank tests were used in the analysis of the data. Frequency and percentage distributions of the answers given by the students to each question were determined. When the findings were examined, it was seen that the students' post-test scores were significantly higher than their pre-test scores. According to the results, it was found that the lessons taught with the lesson activities prepared in accordance with the 5E learning cycle model in the teaching of the subject of proportion were significantly more effective than the lessons taught with the activities in the MEB textbook.
