Özet
Mevcut tez çalışmasında ikonik-kültürel mobilya örneği olan bazalı kanepe/çekyat, genç alıcıların tercihlerinin ağırlıklı olduğu güncel tercihler dikkate alınarak iyileştirilme yapılması amacıyla değer mühendisliği uygulamasına tabii tutulmuştur. Mobilya sektörünün ihracat değeri ve ekonomi üzerindeki etkisinden bahsedilmiştir. Değer mühendisliği ile sadece maliyet düzenlenmesi hedeflenmemiştir, ihtiyaçların doğru tespit edilmesi ile tasarıma değer katılmasına da dikkat edilmiştir. Tasarım, uygulama ve hazırlık aşamaları adım adım uygulanarak süreç tamamlanmıştır. Hazırlık aşamasında, değer analizinde kullanılacak olan referans kanepe tercihi ve online anket yapılarak toplanan kullanıcı tercihlerinin verileri derlenmiştir. Ürün fonkisynları ve maliyetleri belirlenmiş ve maliyet hesapları yapılmıştır. Maliyeti yüksek faydası düşük işlevler tespit edilmiştir. QFD matrisi ile müşterilerin tercihleri belirtilmiş ve değer endeksinin alınması ile hazırlık aşaması tamamlanmıştır. Değerlendirme basamağında ihtiyaca uygun ergonmik çözümlerin geliştirilmesi döşemedeki talep fazlası harcama faktörlerine dikkat edilmiştir. Anket sonucu elde edilen şikayet ve istekleri dikkate alarak ürün üzerinde; çekmece, açılabilir mini sehpa ve demonte iskelet çözümü ile döşemenin ve iskeletin son kullanıcı tarafından birleştirilmesine olanak sağlayan aparat önerisi sunulmuştur. Çalışma sonucunda 44$ (25.05.2021 tarihli kur karşılığı 370₺) tutarında maliyet azaltımı uygulanmış ve pazardaki rakiplerinden farklı olarak sunduğu yenilikçi çözümler ile tercih edilebilirliği yüksek bir ürüne ulaşılmıştır.

In the current dissertation study, the box-spring couch/sofa bed, which is an example of iconic-cultural furniture, was subjected to value engineering in order to improve the design by taking into account the current preferences, in which young buyers are predominant. The export value of the furniture industry and its impact on the economy have been mentioned. The aim of value engineering was not only to regulate costs but also to add value to the design by determining the needs correctly. The design, implementation and preparation phases were implemented step by step to complete the process. In the preparation phase, the reference sofa preference to be used in the value analysis and the data of the user preferences collected by conducting an online survey were compiled. Product functions and costs were determined, and cost calculations were made. Functions with a high cost and poor utility were identified. With the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) matrix, the preferences of the customers were specified, and the preparation phase was completed with the acquisition of the value index. In the evaluation step, attention was paid to the development of ergonomic solutions suitable for the needs and the excess demand expenditure factors for the furnishing. Considering the complaints and requests gathered by the survey, an apparatus proposal, which allows the assembly of the furnishing and the frame by the end-user with the drawer, convertible mini coffee table, and demountable frame solution on the product, was presented. As a result of the study, a cost reduction of $44 (370₺ for the exchange rate dated 25 May 2021) was provided, attaining a highly preferred product with the innovative solutions offered, unlike its competitors in the market.
