Özet
Ülkelerin iktisadi gelişmişlik farklılıklarının nedenleri iktisat literatürünün süre gelen tartışma konularından biri olmuştur. Bu farklılıkların nedenlerini açıklamak için kullanılan kuramlar gerek açıklayıcılık düzeylerinin sınırlı olması gerekse ortaya çıktıkları dönemin problemlerine çözüm getirme amacı taşıdıkları için yeni kuram arayışını devam ettirmiştir. Bu arayışlar neticesinde & quot; Kurumsal İktisat" yaklaşımı ön plana çıkmıştır. Kurumsal İktisat yaklaşımıyla birlikte kurum, kurumsal kalite gibi kavramlar araştırmalara konu olmuştur. Kurumsal kalite ve ekonomik büyüme arasındaki ilişki 1990'lı yılların ilk yarısından şu ana kadar iktisatta ilgi odağı haline gelmiş ve bu ilgi devam etmektedir. Kurumların işleyişinin ülkelerin ekonomik performansı üzerindeki rolünün artması kurumsal kalite kavramının önemini arttırmıştır. Bu kapsamda kurumsal kalitenin ekonomik büyüme üzerindeki etkileri kurumsal göstergelere göre farklılaşmaktadır. Ekonomik büyümenin belirleyicilerini sorgulayan çalışmalarda yargı bağımsızlığı, hukukun üstünlüğü, düzenleme kalitesi, yolsuzluğun kontrolü, mülkiyet haklarının korunması gibi kurumları temsil eden çok sayıda değişken büyüme modellerine dahil edilmektedir. Bu bakış açısıyla hazırlanan tez çalışmasının amacı kurumsal iktisadın ekonomik büyüme üzerinde etkisi var mıdır var ise hangi yönde etkilemiştir sorusuna cevap aramış ve bu cevaba ulaşabilmek için de, Eberhardt& Teal(2010) AMG Tahmincisi yardımıyla OECD Üyesi 38 ülke üzerine ampirik bir çalışma yapılmıştır. Elde edilen tahmin sonuçlarına göre; kurumsal kalite faktörlerinin ekonomik büyüme üzerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir etkiye yol açtığı tespit edilmiştir.

The reasons for the differences in economic development of countries have been one of the ongoing debates in the economics literature. Theories used to explain the reasons for these differences continued the search for vew theories, both because their explanatory level was limited and because they aimed to solve the problems of the period in which they emerged. As a result pf these searches, the“Corporate Economics”approach has come to the fore. With the Instıtutional Economics approach, concepts such as institution and institutional quality have been the subject of research. The relationship between institutional quality and economic growth has been the focus of attention in economics since the first half of the 1990s and this interest still continues. The increasing role of the functioning of institutions on the economic performance of countries has increased the importance of the concept of institutional quality. In this context, the effects of institutional quality on economic growth differ according to institutional indicators. In studies that question the determinants of economic growth, many variables representing institutions such as the independence of the judiciary, the rule of law, the quality of regulation, the control of corruption, the protection of property rights are included in the growth models. The aim of the thesis study, which was prepared from this point of view, was to find an answer to the question of whether institutional economics has an effect on economic growth, and if so, in which direction, and in order to reach this answer, an empirical study was conducted on 38 OECD Member countries with the help of Eberhardt & Teal (2010) AMG Estimator. According to the estimation results obtained; It has been determined that institutional quality factors have a statistically significant effect on economic growth.
