Özet
Nasiruddin Tûsî, İslam düşünce geleneğindeki önemli şahsiyetlerden birisidir. Gerek kelam gerekse astronomi, fizik ve matematik gibi ilimlere çeşitli katkılarda bulunmuş çok yönlü bir düşünür olan Tûsî'nin ahlak ve felsefeye yönelik düşünceleri, yaklaşımları da İslami geleneğe oldukça önemli katkılar sağlamıştır. Bu tezde, genelde İslam düşünce geleneğinde mutluluk kavramına ve muhtevasına yüklenen anlam ile modern psikolojide mutluluk anlayışının incelenmesi, özelde ise Nasiruddin Tûsî düşüncesinin ve onun mutluluk anlayışının psikolojik temeli itibarı ile analiz edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu çalışmayla, İslam düşünce geleneğinin önemli temsilcilerinden biri olan Tûsî'nin mutluluk kavramına yaklaşımının yapılan analizlerle ortaya çıkarılması ve bu hususa dair din psikolojisi alanında müstakil bir çalışma ortaya konması hedeflenmiştir. Araştırmada dokümantasyon yöntemi takip edilmiştir. Yapılan literatür taraması sonucunda Tûsî'nin mutluluk anlayışının daha evvel din psikolojisinde müstakil bir çalışma olarak ele alınmadığını söylemek mümkündür. Bu tez, literatürdeki söz konusu boşluğun doldurulmasına katkı sağlaması açısından önem taşımaktadır. Bu çalışma Tûsî'nin mutluluk anlayışına müstakilen din psikolojisi açısından yaklaşacağı için literatüre katkıda bulunacak ve zenginlik kazandıracaktır. Araştırma, giriş ve üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde Tûsî'nin hayatı, eğitim süreci, yaşadığı dönem, eserleri ve Tûsî'nin döneminin ileri gelen şahsiyetlerden biri olmasını sağlayan özellikleri ele alınmıştır. İkinci bölümde Kur'an-ı Kerim, hadisler, Antik Yunan ve İslam düşünce geleneği gibi farklı bakış açılarıyla genel bir çerçevesi çizilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde ise araştırmanın ana konusunu oluşturan Nasiruddin Tûsî'nin mutluluk anlayışı kaynakları, erdemlerle ve yetkinlikle ilişkisi, nefs düşüncesi gibi temelleriyle analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmada, hem İslam psikoloji geleneği ve bu bağlamda Tûsî'nin mutluluk anlayışı hem de modern psikolojideki mutluluk anlayışı incelenmiş ve mukayese edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak Tûsî'nin mutluluk düşüncesinin, İbn Miskeveyh, Gazzâlî, Fârâbî gibi seleflerinden ve Antik Yunan düşüncesinden büyük ölçüde etkilendiği görülse de bu düşüncelerden bağımsız ve özgün yanlarının da bulunduğu anlaşılmıştır.

Nasr al-Din al-Tûsî is one of the important figures in the tradition of Islamic thought. He is a sophisticated thinker who has made various contributions to sciences such as kalam, astronomy, physics and mathematics, he has also made significant contributions to the Islamic tradition with his thoughts and approaches to ethics and philosophy. In this thesis, in general, it is aimed to analyze the meaning and content of happiness in the tradition of Islamic thought and the understanding of happiness in modern psychology, in particular, to analyze the thought of Nasr al- Din al-Tûsî and his understanding of happiness in terms of its psychological basis. With this study, it is aimed to reveal the concept of happiness of Tûsî through analyzes, who is one of the most important representatives of the Islamic thought tradition, and to present an independent study in the field of psychology of religion. Documentation method was followed in this research. As a result of the literature review, it is possible to say that Tûsî's understanding of happiness was not studied as an independent subject in the psychology of religion before. This thesis is important in terms of contributing to filling this gap in the literature. This study will approach Tûsî's understanding of happiness in terms of psychology of religion, it will also contribute to the literature and enrich it.This research consists of an introduction and three parts. In the first chapter; Tûsî's life, educational adventure, his works, the period he lived in and the features which made Tûsî one of the leading personalities of his period were discussed. In the second chapter, a general framework of happiness was drawn with different perspectives such as the Qur'an, hadiths, Ancient Greek and the tradition of Islamic thought. In the third chapter, Nasr al- Din al-Tûsî's understanding of happiness which is the main subject of this research analyzed with its sources, its relationship with virtues and competence, the thought of soul. In this study, the understanding of happiness in the tradition of Islamic psychology and in this context Tûsî's understanding of happiness and in modern psychology were examined and compared. As a result, although it is seen that Tûsî's idea of happiness was significantly influenced by his predecessors such as Ibn Miskeveyh, Gazzâlî, Fârâbî and Ancient Greek thought, it has independent and original aspects from these thoughts.
