Özet
Amaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı, Covid-19 pandemi döneminde normal doğum yapan kadınlar ve eşlerinin doğum deneyimlerinin belirlenmesidir. Yöntem: Fenomenolojik desenli niteliksel çalışma olarak yürütülen bu çalışmada Covid-19 pandemi döneminde normal doğum yapan 10 kadın ve 9 eş ile görüşülmüştür. Araştırma grubunun belirlenmesinde amaçlı örneklem türünden olan ölçüt örnekleme yöntemi ve kartopu örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma grubuna katılım ölçütü olarak pandemi döneminde kendisinin veya eşinin normal doğum yapmış olma koşulu esas alınmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri araştırmacı tarafından katılımcılarla Skype uygulaması ve yüz yüze bireysel derinlemesine görüşme yapılarak toplanmıştır. Görüşmeler video kaydı veya ses kaydına alınmıştır. Araştırma verileri MaxQda 2022 nitel veri analiz programında araştırmacılar tarafından analiz edilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde araştırma kapsamındaki tema ve kodları oluşturmak amacı ile tümevarımcı niteliksel içerik analizi ve tematik analiz kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışmada niteliksel araştırmayı raporlamak için konsolide kriterler kılavuzu (COREQ) kontrol listesi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Kadınlar ve eşleri ile yapılan görüşmelerden elde edilen nitel verilerin analizi sonucunda; sağlık profesyonelleri ile deneyim, Covid-19 pandemi dönemine yönelik alınan tedbirler, doğum ve doğum sonrası duygular ve doğum sürecinde algılanan destek olmak üzere dört ana tema elde edilmiştir. Sağlık profesyonelleri ile deneyim temasında dört alt tema, Covid-19 pandemi dönemine yönelik alınan tedbirler temasında iki alt tema, doğum ve doğum sonrası duygular temasında üç alt tema ve doğum sürecinde algınan destek temasında üç alt tema olmak üzere on iki alt tema belirlenmiştir. Sonuç: Pandemi döneminde normal doğum yapan kadınların ve eşlerinin doğum deneyimlerinin incelendiği bu araştırmanın sonucunda, doğum hizmetleri niteliklerinin kısmen azaldığı görülmüştür. Doğum hizmetlerinin niteliğini azaltan en önemli faktör, bulaşı önlemek için alınan tedbirler olmuştur. Pandemi gibi mevcut veya yaşanabilecek halk sağlığı krizlerinde doğum hizmetlerinin iyileştirilmesine ihtiyaç vardır. Anahtar Kelimeler; Covid-19 pandemi dönemi ; Doğum deneyimi ; Kadınlar

Objective: The purpose of this research is to determine the birth experiences of women and their spouses who gave birth normally during the Covıd-19 pandemic period. Method: In this study, which was carried out as a qualitative study with a phenomenological pattern, 10 women and 9 spouses who gave birth normally during the Covıd-19 pandemic period were interviewed. Criterion sampling method and snowball sampling method, which are the purposeful sampling type, were used to determine the research group. The criterion for participation in the research group was based on the condition that he or his partner had a normal birth during the pandemic period. The data of the research were collected by the researcher by Skype application and face-to-face individual in-depth interviews with the participants. The interviews were video recorded or audio recorded. The research data were analyzed by the researchers in the MaxQda 2022 qualitative data analysis program. In the analysis of the data, inductive qualitative content analysis and thematic analysis were used to create the themes and codes within the scope of the research. In this study, the consolidated criteria guide (COREQ) checklist was used to report the qualitative research. Findings: As a result of the analysis of the qualitative data obtained from the interviews with the women and their spouses; Four main themes were obtained: experience with healthcare professionals, measures taken for the Covıd-19 pandemic period, birth and postpartum feelings, and perceived support during the birth process. Twelve sub-themes were determined, including four sub-themes in the theme of experience with health professionals, two sub-themes in the theme of measures taken for the Covıd-19 pandemic period, three sub-themes in the theme of birth and postpartum feelings, and three sub-themes in the theme of perceived support during the birth process. Conclusion: As a result of this study, which examined the birth experiences of women who gave birth normally during the pandemic period and their spouses, it was seen that the qualifications of maternity services decreased partially. The most important factor reducing the quality of maternity services has been the measures taken to prevent transmission. There is a need to improve maternity services in current or potential public health crises such as the pandemic.
