Özet
Sultan II. Kılıç Arslan bütün siyasî hayatı boyunca Anadolu'nun Türkleşmesi için müca-dele vermiştir. Bu amacını gerçekleştirmek için dönemin koşullarına göre hareket etme anlayışına sahip olmuştur. II. Kılıç Arslan kendi kişisel ihtiraslarına kapılmayarak devle-tin tehlikeye düşeceği vakitlerde anlaşma koşullarını aramış bu anlamda itidalli politika-lar yürütmüştür. II. Kılıç Arslan tahta geçer geçmez kardeşleri ile taht mücadelesi içeri-sinde olacaktır. Bu anlamda harici devletler ile ittifak kuran kardeşi Şâhinşâh ile de mü-cadele edecektir. Kardeşi Şâhinşâh iktidarı ele geçirebilmek için Dânişmendliler, Nûred-din Mahmut Zengî ve Bizans İmparatorluğu ile ittifak yapmaktan geri durmamıştır. Bah-se konu olan sorunları bertaraf eden II. Kılıç Arslan Bizans İmparatorluğu'na Myriokefa-lon Savaşı ile hezimeti yaşatacaktır. Böylece Anadolu'da Türklerin varlığı kesinleşmiş olacaktır. Bizans İmparatorluğu'nun Türkleri Anadolu'dan atma ümidi tamamen son bulacaktır. II. Kılıç Arslan bu gelişmelerin yanı sıra birçok devlet ile ilişki içerisinde ol-muştur. Siyaseten münasebet kurduğu devletler ile yaşanılan gelişmeleri ayrıntılı olarak ele aldık. Bu çalışmamızda Sultan II. Kılıç Arslan'ın hayatını toplu bir şekilde ele alıp birçok yönden incelemeye ve bu anlamda gerçekleşen olayları izah etmeye çalıştık.

Sultan Kilidj Arslan II has fought for the Turkification of Anatolia all his politi-cal life. In order to achieve this goal, he had the understanding of acting according to the conditions of the period. Kilidj Arslan II did not fall under his own personal ambi-tions and sought the terms of the agreement at a time when the state would be in dan-ger, and in this sense, he carried out restrained policies. As soon as Kilidj Arslan II takes the throne, he will be fighting for the throne with his brothers. In this sense, he will also fight his brother Shahinshah, who has formed alliances with external states. In order to seize power, his brother Shahinshah did not hesitate to ally with the Danishmendians, Nūr al-dīn Mahmūd Zangī and the Byzantine empire. Eliminating the problems in ques-tion, Kilidj Arslan II will inflict defeat on the Byzantine Empire with the Battle of My-riokefalon. Thus, the presence of Turks in Anatolia will be confirmed. The Byzantine empire's hope of expelling the Turks from Anatolia will end completely. In addition to these developments, Kilidj Arslan II has been in contact with many states too during this time. Thus, we discussed in detail of the developments with the States that he had politically engaged with. In this study, we tried to examine the life of Sultan Kilidj Arslan II in a collective way and examine it in many ways and explain the events that took place in this sense.
