KRIKO Engineering GmbH has been successfully operating in the field of automation and process control systems for many years in a wide variety of industries. In the process industry processes are stabilized with the help of myriads of regulations – mostly SISO regulations. The customer systems are usually monitored by a data logging system, which monitors and records continuously the essential measured variables. KRIKO offers therefore a data logging system called KRIS which tracks the most important measured variables. In the course of Industry 4.0 customers are more interested in evaluation functionality as well as to a graphic representation of recorded physical values. KRIKO has therefore set itself the goal of developing an add-on tool for the KRIS system which finds the optimum controller parameters for one or more workspaces based on the recorded process data and corresponding optimization methods. This tool should be intuitively operated via the visualization and it should also be able to design existing regulations efficiently by means of intelligent algorithms in order to sustainably improve the capacity utilization and other production processes. This thesis focuses on SISO systems, such as temperature control, consistency control or pressure control in the paper industry
