Özet
ÖZET Bu çalışmada Lycopersicon esculentum Miller (domates) bitkisinin Falcon ve H2274 çeşitlerinin polen ana hücrelerinde mayoz bölünme incelendi ve çeşitli düzensizlikler olduğu gözlendi. Her iki çeşitte de bu düzensizliklerin univalent ve multivalent oluşumu, kutuplara çekilmeyen kromozomlar, eşit olmayan kromozom dağılımı, üç kutba dağılım ve kalloz çepersiz polen ana hücreleri olduğu belirlendi. Falcon'da bunlara ek olarak yoğunlaşmış kromozomlu polen ana hücreleri ve iki nukleuslu rnikrosporlar görülürken, H2274'de böyle bir durum belirlenmedi. Gözlenen bir diğer bozukluk, H2274 çeşidinde kromatin materyal içermeyen hücrelerin varlığıdır. Her iki çeşit arasında düzensizlik yüzdeleri bakımından belirgin bir farklılık görülmedi. Polen tanelerinin çaplarında ve boyanabilen polenlerin yüzdelerinde dikkate değer bir farklılık gözlenmedi. 47

SUMMARY in this study, the meiotic division of pollen mother cells in the two different varieties of Lycopersicon esculentum Miller (tomato) was investigated. The observed irregularities in both varieties were; univalent and multivalent foraıation, lagging chromosomes, unequal distribution of chromosomes, tripolar seperation and pollen mother cells without callose wall. Furtheraıore, pollen mother cells with condensed chromosomes and microspores with two nuclei were seen in the variety of Falcon. Another irregularity was the occurrence of pollen mother cells without nuclear material in the variety of H2274. There was no distinct difference in the percentage of meiotic irregularities between the two varieties. A prominent difference was not observed in the diameter and percentage of stainable pollen grains. 48
