Özet

Bu çalışma Bilim ve Sanat Merkezlerinin (BİLSEM) öğretmen, öğrenci ve veli gözünden değerlendirilmesi, mevcut durum ve sorunların belirlenip özel yeteneklilerin eğitimi için çözüm önerilerinin sunulması amacıyla yürütülmüştür. Araştırma nitel araştırma desenlerinden temel nitel araştırma olarak tasarlanmıştır. Çalışmada yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği kullanılarak veri toplanmıştır. Araştırmanın katılımcılarını İstanbul ilinde bulunan bir BİLSEM'de öğrenim gören 4 öğrenci, 8 veli ve 7 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Öğrenci, veli ve öğretmenlerden elde edilen verilerin analizinde tematik analiz yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerden elde edilen verilerden; özel yetenekli öğrenci olmak, fiziki konum ve donanım, BİLSEM'e yönelik değerlendirmeler, eğitim ve öğretim ve öneriler olmak üzere beş ana tema ve on iki alt tema belirlenmiştir. Velilerle elde edilen verilerden; özel yetenekli çocuğu sahip olma, fiziki konum, BİLSEM'e yönelik değerlendirmeler, öğrenci seçim süreci ve öneriler olmak üzere beş ana tema ve on beş alt tema belirlenmiştir. Öğretmenlerden elde edilen verilerden ise özel yetenekli öğrencilerle çalışmak, fiziki konum, BİLSEM'e yönelik değerlendirmeler, öğretmenlerin özlük hakları ve öneriler olmak üzere beş ana tema ve on beş alt tema belirlenmiştir. Mevcut araştırmada BİLSEM'lere yönelik her üç grubun da memnun oldukları taraflar olsa da ciddi sıkıntıların da olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen tüm veriler ilintili alan yazın ışığında detaylı bir şekilde tartışılmıştır.

The current study was carried out in order to evaluate BİLSEMs from the perspectives of teacher, students, and teachers, to determine the current situation and problems and to offer solutions for the education of gifted students. The research was designed as a case study, one of the qualitative research designs. Semi-structured interview technique was used in the study. Expert opinion was taken for the interview forms prepared by scanning the literature. The participants of the research consist of 4 students, 8 parents and 7 teachers studying at BİLSEM in Istanbul. Content analysis method was used in the analysis of the data obtained from the students, and thematic analysis method was used in the analysis of the data obtained from the parents and teachers. In the study, it was concluded that BİLSEM students were satisfied with the science and art center, but there were deficiencies in the programs and the curriculum should be improved. From the data obtained with the parents; Four main themes and twenty-one sub-themes were determined as parents' evaluation of BİLSEM, having a gifted child, education and training, and physical location. From the data obtained from the teachers, six main themes and eleven themes, including trainings to work with gifted students, opinions about gifted students, contributions of working with gifted students, opinions about science and art centers, suggestions for science and art centers, physical location and cooperation with institutions. sub-theme was determined. In the current study, it has been concluded that although all three groups are satisfied with BİLSEMs, there are also serious problems. All the data obtained from the research were discussed in detail in the light of the related literature.
