The aim of the study was to examine the relationship between prejudice, personality and society in a cross-cultural context. With that in mind, an online survey was designed and posted on multiple social media and forums. Participants from Brazil, Poland, and Turkey, were asked to fill a set of questionnaires in English: Right Wing Authoritarianism (RWA) scale, Social Dominance Orientation (SDO) scale, and Big Five 10 Items scale. The results showed that authoritarianism and personality (RWA and Big Five) were positively/negatively correlated. The relationships between social dominance and personality were different depending on nationality. There was a negative correlation on the Neuroticism for Polish participants, whereas for Turkish participants the correlation was positive on the Conscientiousness. These correlations suggests that society and personality factors are related to prejudice formation. For Brazilians, there was no correlation at all in any of the scales, suggesting that their prejudice has no relation with personality. Since looking at the differences in prejudice in multiple nationalities, gender and age were also taken into consideration. When comparing gender, females have less prejudice than males in every nationality, as expected. According to results regarding age, the older the individual is, more prejudice he or she has. To conclude, the study suggests that for each nationality, prejudice is created and affected differently depending on personality, or society or even both.
