The objective of this study is to investigate the differential processing of each hemisphere according to problem complexity during verbal insight problems. Participants were presented with easy and difficult problems to each visual hemifield, and rated their solution processes regarding their insight feelings. Individual differences were assessed with verbal fluency and working memory measures. The data obtained were analysed according to accuracy rates and response times with a 2x2 ANOVA, and some follow up t tests. An interesting interaction between complexity and insight was observed. Previous findings suggesting right hemisphere dominance in insight could not be replicated, however, there was an interaction found between complexity and insight. Potential explanations were considered, and the implications were evaluated in the discussion
