Özet
Kore Savaşı, dünyanın en gelişmiş ülkelerinden biri olan Güney Kore'nin sosyal, ekonomik ve siyasi hayatını derinden etkilemiş, devletin ulusal kimliğinin oluşumunda en önemli etken olmuştur. Kore Yarımadası'nın bölünmesi ile sonuçlanan bu savaşın neden olduğu tüm olumsuzluklararağmen sürecin sonunda Güney Kore dünyanın en gelişmiş ülkeleri sırasına dâhil olmuştur. Savaş, bölünmüş bir ülkeden iki farklı devletinoluşumunda belirleyici bir dönüm noktası niteliğini taşımış,Güney Kore'nin uluslararası düzeydetanınmasına ve ayrı bir ulus devlet olarak kabul görmesine neden olmuştur. Nitekim savaşın etkisiyle oluşmuşyeni ulusal kimliğe ilişkin detaylı bir bilimsel bakış açısının olmaması, bu konunun Kore'de çok yönlü araştırma alanına dönüşmesine sebebiyet vermiştir. Böylelikle bu çalışma, Kore Savaşı gibi siyasi,toplumsalve ekonomik bir olayın yeni bir ulus oluşturma süreci üzerindeki etkilerini değerlendirmek ve dikkat çekme amacıyla kaleme alınmıştır.Eserde aynı zamandabir ülkenin bölünme ve savaştan kaynaklanan ekonomik sorunlarınaçözüm yolu arama serüveni ele alınmıştır. Tüm bunlarla birlikte savaşın toplumsal, ekonomik, siyasi etkilerine dikkat çekilmiş, savaşın etkisiyle oluşmuş ulusal kimlikle ilişkili süreç ve diğer gelişmeler de kısaca özetlenmiştir.

The Korean War deeply affected the social, economic and political life of South Korea, one of the most developed countries in the world, and became the most important factor in the formation of the national identity of the state. Despite all the pain and damage caused by this war, which resulted in the division of the Korean Peninsula, South Korea was included in the list of the most developed countries in the world at the end of the process. The war was a decisive turning point in the formation of two different states from a divided country, causing South Korea to be recognized at the international level and to be accepted as a separate nation state. As a matter of fact, the lack of a detailed scientific perspective on the new national identity formed by the war has caused this issue to turn into a multi-faceted research area in Korea. Thus, this study was written in order to draw attention to the war period, the suffering caused by this period and the evaluations about the solution of the problems. At the same time, the life of people who were seriously affected by the war in South Korea and separated from their families and loved ones, and the adventure of searching for a solution to a country economic problems arising from the division and war are discussed. In addition to all these, attention was drawn to the moral wounds that could never be resolved, and the process and other developments related to the national identity formed by the impact of the war were briefly summarized.
