Özet
Bu araştırma ile imam-hatip liselerine yönelik ilahiyat özel alan bilgisiyle-genel dil becerilerinin bir araya getirildiği bir mesleki İngilizce öğretim programı için İstanbul ilinde bulunan beş farklı ilçedeki söz konusu okul türünde öğrenim gören öğrenciler, bu okul türünde görev yapan İngilizce, İmam Hatip Meslek Dersleri ve DİKAB öğretmenleri ile Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığına bağlı kurumlarda çalışan imam-hatip-müftü gibi paydaşların öğrenci ihtiyaçlarına yönelik görüşlerinin alınması amaçlanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda öğrencilerden Başarı testi ve görüşme yöntemi; diğer paydaşlardan ise sadece görüşme yöntemi ile veri toplanmış nicel verilerin analizinde betimsel istatistik (yüzde ve frekans), nitel verilerin analizinde betimsel ve içerik analiz yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular öğrencilerin kendilerini ilahiyat temalı İngilizce becerilerinde yetersiz gördüklerini, alanlarıyla ilgili kelime ve kavramları bilmediklerini ve ilgili disiplin terminolojisini içeren bir Özel Amaçlı İngilizce programının bu sorunun çözümü olabileceğini düşündüğünü göstermiştir. Benzer şekilde İngilizce, İmam Hatip Meslek Dersleri ve DİKAB öğretmenleri de imam hatip lisesi öğrencilerinin genel ve özel amaçlı yabancı dil becerileri konusunda olumsuz düşünceleri olduğu görülmüştür. Bu noktada ilgili paydaşlar tarafından durumun temel nedeni olarak GAİ programının öğrenci ilgi ve ihtiyaçlarına cevap verici olmaması sonucunda öğrencilerin ilahiyat terminolojisine hakim olmaması ortaya atılmıştır. Çözüm önerisi olarak da imam hatip liselerine yönelik bir mesleki İngilizce programı tasarımı yapılması sunulmuştur. Benzer şekilde müftü, imam ve hatip gibi profesyonellerde öğrenim yaşamlarında ÖAİ dersi almadıklarını fakat genel anlamda mesleki İngilizce becerilerine ihtiyaç duyduklarını veya meslek yaşamlarında bir noktada ihtiyaç duyacaklarını düşündüklerini ifade etmişlerdir. Sonuç olarak araştırma kapsamında düşünceleri alınan paydaşlar imam hatip liselerine yönelik bir mesleki İngilizce programı eksikliğine dikkat çekip olası bir tasarımın öğrenci başarısını arttırmakla birlikte bu durumun ilahiyat alanına da katkı yapacağını düşündüklerini ifade etmişlerdir.

In this study, it was aimed to gather the ideas of the students studying in imam hatip high schools,English, Imam Hatip Vocational Courses and Education of Religion and Ethics teachers working in this school type and stakeholders such as imam-hatip-muftis working in institutions affiliated to the Presidency of Religious Affairs in five different districts of Istanbul about the needs of students for a vocational English education program in which the theology specific field knowledge and general language skills are combined for imam-hatip high schools.To this end, Data were collected from students with information form and interview method and from other stakeholders only by interview method. Descriptive statistics (percentage and frequency) were used in the analysis of quantitative data, and descriptive and content analysis methods were used in the analysis of qualitative data. The findings showed that the students saw themselves as inadequate in theology-themed English skills, did not know the words and concepts related to their field, and thought that an English for Specific Purposes(ESP) program that included the related discipline terminology could be the solution to this problem. Similarly, teachers of English, Imam Hatip Vocational Courses and Education of Religion and Ethics courses have negative thoughts about general and special purpose foreign language skills of imam hatip high school students. At this point, it has been suggested by the relevant stakeholders that the main reason for the situation is that the English for General Purposes(EGP) program is not responding to the interests and needs of the students, and that the students do not have a good grasp of the theology terminology. As a solution proposal, designing a vocational English program for imam hatip high schools is presented. Similarly, professionals such as mufti, imam and preacher stated that they did not take any ESP courses in their education life, but that they need professional English skills in general or that they think they will need it at some point in their professional career. As a result, the stakeholders, whose opinions were taken within the scope of the study, drew attention to the lack of a vocational English program for imam hatip high schools and stated that they thought that a possible design would increase student success and contribute to the field of theology
