Özet

Araştırmada, Hayat Bilgisi dersi alan öğrencilerin ters yüz edilmiş sınıf modeli ile Web 2.0 araçları kullanılarak başarılarına etkisinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Kilis ili Merkez ilçesinde bir ilkokulda 3. sınıfa devam eden ve deney grubu 16 öğrenci, kontrol grubu 16 öğrenci olmak üzere 32 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Deney grubunda Web 2.0 araçları kullanılarak ters yüz edilmiş sınıf modeli uygulanırken, kontrol grubunda ise düz anlatım yöntemi uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden deneysel desen kullanılmış olup deneysel desen yöntemlerinden de yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Uygulama 8 hafta sürmüş olup araştırmada verileri toplamak için araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen Hayat Bilgisi Başarı Testi kullanılmıştır. Uygulama sonunda Hayat Bilgisi Başarı Testi sonuçlarına göre; deney ve kontrol grubunun öğrencilerinin ön test ve son test puanları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucuna göre, öğretmenlerin diğer derslerde Web 2.0 araçları ile ters yüz edilmiş sınıf modelinin uygulayabilecekleri, teknolojide öğrencilerin destekleneceği çalışmaların yapılabileceği, uygulama sonrası kalıcılık testleri aracılığıyla farklı çalışmalar yapılabileceği, araştırma doğrultusunda bu alanla ilgili farklı çalışmaların yapılabileceği önerilmiştir.

In the research, it was aimed to investigate the effect of the students taking the Life Science course on their success by using the flipped classroom model and Web 2.0 tools. The study group of the research consists of 32 students, 16 students in the experimental group and 16 students in the control group, who are attending the 3rd grade in a primary school in Kilis province. While the flipped classroom model was applied using Web 2.0 tools in the experimental group, the plain lecture method was applied in the control group. Experimental design, which is one of the quantitative research methods, was used in the research, and quasi-experimental design was used from the experimental design methods. The application lasted for 8 weeks and the Life Science Achievement Test developed by the researcher was used to collect the data in the study. According to the results of the Life Science Achievement Test at the end of the application; It was determined that there was a statistically significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores of the students in the experimental and control groups. According to the results of the research, it has been suggested that the teachers can apply the flipped classroom model with Web 2.0 tools in other lessons, that the students can be supported in technology, that different studies can be done through post-application retention tests, and that different studies can be done in this area in line with the research.
