Özet
Bu tezin amacı, Kant'ın estetik bir kavramı olan sensus communis'in Hannah Arendt tarafından ortak yaşam ideali için siyasi bir kavrama nasıl dönüştürüldüğünün açığa çıkarılmasıdır. Bu kapsamda tezin birinci bölümü düşünme etkinliğinin çözümlenmesine ayrılmış, Arendt'in düşünmeyi özerkleştirme çabası ortaya konmuştur. Düşünmenin özerkleşmesinin ortak yaşam ideali olan sensus communis'in için önemi gösterilmiştir. Bu bölümünde,“derin düşünme”veya“tefekkür”olarak çevrilen vita contemplativa'nın gösterdiği düşünme biçiminin hem düşünme etkinliğine hem de siyasete etkisi ortaya konmuştur. Bu bölümde, contemplativa'nın iki biçimi olduğu iddia edilmiştir. Vita contemplativa'nın karşıtı vita activa ikinci bölümün konusunu oluşturmaktadır. Bu kapsamda vita activa etkinlikleri emek, iş ve eylem çözümlemesi yapılarak aralarındaki farklar ortaya konmuştur. Bu bölümde ayrıca Arendt'in çok fazla önem verdiği eylem teorisinin niteliklerine yer verilmiştir. Ayrıca bu bölümünde yeni bir siyaset felsefesi için sensus communis temelli eylemin kamusal alanda görünür kılınması gerektiği iddia edilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde ise, öncelikle Kant'ın Yargı Yetisinin Eleştirisi eserinin siyaset açısından neden önemli olduğu ortaya çıkarılmaktadır. Ayrıca estetik ile siyasetin ortak temelleri ortaya konmaktadır. Bu bağlamda estetik bir kavram olan sensus commmunis'in siyasi bir kavrama dönüştürülmesi ve sensus communis'in nitelikleri gösterilmiştir. Bu bölümde sensus communis'in ortak yaşam ideali olarak gerçeklik kazanması için eleştirel düşünme ile desteklenmesi gerektiği iddia edilmiştir.

The aim of this thesis is to reveal how sensus communis, an aesthetic concept of Kant, was transformed into a political concept for the ideal of common life by Hannah Arendt. In this context, the first part of the thesis is devoted to the analysis of thinking activity, and Arendt's effort to make thinking autonomous has been revealed. The importance of the autonomy of thinking for sensus communis, which is the ideal of common life, is shown. In this part, the effect of the way of thinking shown by vita contemplativa, which is translated as“deep thinking”or“contemplation”, on both thinking activity and politics is revealed. In this section, it has been argued that contemplativa has two forms. The opposite of vita contemplativa, vita activa, is the subject of the second part. In this context, vita activa activities were analyzed by labor, work and action and the differences between them were revealed. This section also includes the characteristics of the theory of action, which Arendt attaches great importance to. In addition, in this part, it is claimed that the sensus communis-based action should be made visible in the public sphere for a new political philosophy. In the third chapter, firstly, why Kant's Critique of Judgment is important in terms of politics is revealed. In addition, the common foundations of aesthetics and politics are revealed. In this context, the transformation of sensus commmunis, which is an aesthetic concept, into a political concept and the qualities of sensus communis are shown. In this section, it is claimed that sensus communis needs to be supported by critical thinking in order to achieve reality as a common life ideal.
