Özet
Yapılan bu çalışma klasik Kore edebiyatının önemli eserlerinden Coson Hanedanlığı (조선) dönemini (1392-1897) arka plana alan Chunhyang Hikâyesi'ni konu almaktadır. Hikâye odağında Coson dönemi kadının aile ve toplumsal cinsiyet açısından yeri ve önemi feminist kuramlar arasından ikili sistemler yaklaşımı çerçevesinde ele alınmıştır. Öncelikle eserin dönemsel arka planı olarak Coson Dönemi detaylı bir şekilde açıklanmıştır. Ardından Coson Dönemi yönetim ideolojisi Konfüçyüçyanizm ile ilgili bilgiler verilerek ideolojinin toplum yapısına ve kadın yaşamına etkisine vurgu yapılmıştır. Ataerkil toplum yapısı ve Konfüçyüsçü yönetim ideolojisinin benimsendiği Coson dönemi Kore toplumunda katı sınıf sisteminin hâkim olması da dikkat çeken bir diğer noktadır. Bu noktada ana karakter Chunhyang üzerinden dönem toplumu kadınına dair analizler yakın okuma yöntemi ile hikâyenin derinlemesine okunmasıyla Coson Dönemi Kore toplumuna dair analizler yapılmıştır. Eserin ana kahramanı olan Chunhyang aracılığıyla dönemin gisenğ adı verilen saray hizmetkârı kadınlarının aile ve toplumsal cinsiyet açısından konumu ve önemi vurgulanmaya çalışılmıştır. Coson dönemi toplumsal yapısı, kadının toplumdaki yeri, hak ve sorumlulukları eserin ana karakteri vasıtasıyla mercek altına alınmıştır. Dönemin ideal kadın algısı, ataerkil yapı içerisinde kadının durumu, alt sınıf bir vatandaş olarak kadının toplumsal cinsiyet ve biyolojik cinsiyet açısından konumu incelenmiştir. Sonuç olarak alt sınıf bir vatandaş, toplumun ikincil konumunda bulunan bir bireyi olmasına rağmen kendi hak ve özgürlükleri için amaçladığı hedefe ulaşabilmek maksadıyla direniş gösteren bir kadın tipi olduğu da gözlemlenmiştir. Ayrıca bu kadın tipinin toplumdaki alt sınıf tüm vatandaşlar için bir umut ışığı olduğu da söylenebilir.

The study aims to address the place and importance of women in terms of family and gender are discussed within the scope of dual-systems theory, one of the feminist theories, in the focus of the tale of Chunhyang, which deals with the Joseon Dynasty (조선) period (1392-1897), one of the essential works of classical Korean literature. First of all, the Joseon period, as the periodical background of the work, is explained in detail. Then, the effect of Confucianism, the governing ideology of the Joseon period, on society and women's lives is mentioned. Another striking point is that the strict class system prevailed in the Joseon period society, in which the patriarchal social structure and Confucian governing ideology were adopted. At this point, analyzes about the Korean society of the Joseon period was examined with the close reading technique through the main character Chunhyang. Through Chunhyang, the main protagonist of the work, the position, and importance of the palace servant women of the period, called gisenğ, in terms of family and gender were evaluated. The social structure of the Joseon period, women's place in society, and their rights and responsibilities are examined through the main character of the work. The ideal woman's perception of the period, the situation of women in the patriarchal structure, and the position of women as a lower class citizen in terms of gender and biological gender were examined. As a result, it has been observed that although she is a lower-class citizen, an individual in a secondary position in society, that woman is the kind of woman who resists in order to reach the goal she aims for her own rights and freedoms. It can also be said that this type of woman is a beacon of hope for all lower class citizens in the society.
