Özet
Bu çalışma ortaokul 8.sınıf öğrencilerinin proje ödevlerini belirlerken oluşturdukları yazılı argümanların kalitesine üzerine argümantasyon etkinliklerinin etkisini belirlemek amacı ile yapılmıştır. Bu araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum çalışmasına yer verilmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, 2021-2022 eğitim-öğretim yılında Düzce il merkezinde yer alan bir devlet ortaokulunun 8.sınıfta öğrenim gören 28 öğrenci oluşmaktadır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu, kolay ulaşılabilir örnekleme yöntemiyle belirlenmiştir. Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin proje ödevlerini belirlerken oluşturdukları yazılı argümanların kalitesini belirlemek için yazılı argümantasyon formu veri toplama aracı olarak kullanılmıştır. Araştırma etkinlikleri öncesinde ve sonrasında yazılı argümantasyon formu ile veriler toplanmıştır. Araştırmacı tarafından argümantasyonun ne olduğuna dair bilgilerin verildiği argümantasyon eğitimi ile argümantasyon etkinlikleri, her biri 2'şer ders saati olmak üzere sekiz etkinlik toplam 16 ders saatinde araştırmaya katılan öğrencilere uygulanmıştır. Araştırma etkinlikleri öncesinde ve sonrasında toplanan veriler içerik analizi ile çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma sonunda araştırmaya katılan ortaokul 8.sınıf öğrencilerinin argümantasyon etkinliklerinin oluşturdukları argümanların kalitesi üzerine olumlu yönde etkisi görülmüştür. Proje ödevlerinin belirlenmesinde argümantasyon kullanılarak öğrencilerin bilinçli karar vermesi sağlanabilir. Proje ödevlerinin belirlenmesinde argümantasyon sürecinin işlemesi sağlanarak öğrencilerin proje ödevlerinin niteliğinde olumlu değişimler meydana gelebilir.

This study was conducted with the aim of guiding the argument behaviors of the 8th grade secondary school students depending on the quality of the written arguments they formed while determining their project assignments. In this research, situation information is given from the qualitative research methods. The study group of the research consists of 28 students studying in the 8th grade of a public secondary school in the city center of Düzce in the 2021-2022 academic year. The study group of the research was used with the easy access method. Written argumentation formula is used as a data collection tool to determine the purpose of the written arguments created by the students participating in the research while determining their project assignments. Information about the argumentation formula was collected before and after the research activities. Giving information about what argumentation is by the researcher, argumentation study and argumentation games, eight combined activities, each of which was 2 lesson hours, in a total of 16 lesson hours were applied. The information collected before and after the research events was analyzed by content analysis. At the end of the research, the argumentation behaviors of the secondary school 8th grade students had a positive effect on the quality of the arguments they formed. It can be ensured that the cards of the students who use argumentation in the estimation of the project assignments are decided. Positive results can occur at the end of students' project assignments by providing argumentation processing in the estimation of project assignments.
