Özet

Pyometralı Kedilerde Serum Amiloid Düzeylerinin Hematolojik ve Biyokimyasal Parametrelerle Birlikte Değerlendirilmesi Sunulan bu çalışmada pyometra vakalarında tanı amaçlı sıklıkla kullanılan hematolojik ve biyokimyasal parametreler ile bir akut faz proteini olan serum amiloid A (SAA) değerinin etkinliğinin incelenmesi amaçlandı. Klinik olarak en sık tercih edilen parametreler ile SAA arasında herhangi bir korelasyon olup olmadığına bakıldı. İstatistiksel olarak önemlilik düzeyleri tespit edildi. Kedilerde pyometra vakaları ile ilgili çalışmalar oldukça sınırlıdır. Bu sebeple araştırmanın konusunu kedilere ait örnekler oluşturdu. Çalışmada farklı ırk, yaş ve kilolarda olmak üzere toplamda 14 adet kediye ait kan örnekleri kullanıldı. Kediler 2 gruba ayrıldı. Grup I'i klinik muayenede herhangi bir hastalık belirtisi olmayan ve kan parametreleri normal sınırlarda olan sağlıklı kabul edilen rutin ovariohisterektomi (OVH) operasyonu için kliniğe getirilmiş 7 kedi; Grup II'yi ise yapılan detaylı klinik muayene, hematolojik analizler ve ultrasonografik incelemeler sonrasında pyometra tanısı konulan 7 kedi oluşturdu. Çalışma grubundaki sağlıklı ve pyometralı kedilerin hematolojik parametreleri değerlendirildiğinde lökosit (WBC), nötrofil (NEU) ve monosit (MON) değerleri arasında istatistiksel olarak önemli derecede fark bulundu. Grup II'e ait bu değerler Grup I'e ait değerlere oranla anlamlı derecede yüksek tespit edildi (p0.05). Evaluation of Serum Amyloid Levels with Hematological and Biochemical Parameters in Cats with Pyometra In this present study, it was aimed to examine the effectiveness of hematological and biochemical parameters, which are frequently used for diagnostic purposes, and serum amyloid A (SAA), an acute phase protein, in cases of pyometra. It was checked whether there was any correlation between the clinically most preferred parameters and SAA, and statistical significance levels were determined. Studies on pyometra cases in cats are quite limited. For this reason, the subject of the research was the examples of cats. In the study, blood samples from 14 cats of different breeds, ages and weights were used. Cats were divided into 2 groups. Group I included 7 cats, who had no signs of disease on clinical examination and were considered healthy with blood parameters within normal limits, and were brought to the clinic for routine ovariohysterectomy (OVH) operation; Group II consisted of 7 cats diagnosed as pyometra after detailed clinical examination, hematological analyzes and ultrasonographic examinations. When the hematological parameters of the healthy and pyometra cats in the study group were evaluated, a statistically significant difference was found between the leukocyte (WBC), neutrophil (NEU) and monocyte (MON) values. These values of Group II were found to be significantly higher than the values of Group I (p0.05).
