Özet
Çalışma, Kelebek Etkisi Teorimi üzerinden, yaşanan tarihi olayların Bodrum kent gelişimi üzerindeki etkisini ortaya koymayı hedeflemektedir. Bu kavramla olayların başlangıç noktası olan mikro olayın gelişimini destekleyen insan, zaman, mekân ve coğrafya kavramlarına bağlı olarak ortaya çıkan makro olayların Bodrum kent merkezinin tarihi gelişimine yansıması açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Tezin materyali olarak yazınsal kaynaklar, arşiv belgeleri, haritalar, uydu görüntüleri, fotoğraf ve röportajlar ile internet veri kaynakları kullanılmıştır. Literatürde yer alan çalışmalardan ve makalelerden yararlanılmıştır. Çalışmanın yöntemi Kelebek Etkisi Teorisi üzerinden olay kavramıyla ile ortaya koyulmuştur. Bu bağlamda Bodrum kenti kronolojik zamanlara ayrılmış ve her dönem kendi içerisinde yorumlanmıştır. Olay kavramı mikro olay ve makro olay olarak sınıflandırılmıştır. Mikro olayı etkileyen insan, zaman, coğrafya, mekân unsurlarına bağlı olarak değişen makro olayların yer aldığı bir tablo önerisinden ve tablolar dikkate alınarak oluşturulan haritalardan faydalanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular sonucunda Bodrum kentinin gelişiminde insan faktörünün daha baskın olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The study aims to reveal the effect of historical events on Bodrum city development through my butterfly effect theory. With this concept, it has been tried to explain the reflection of the macro events that emerged depending on the concepts of human, time, space and geography, which support the development of the micro event, which is the starting point of the events, to the historical development of Bodrum city center. Literary sources, archival documents, maps, satellite images, photographs and interviews and internet data sources were used as the material of the thesis. The city of Bodrum has been divided into chronological times and each period has been examined within itself. The development of the city is explained with the concept of event within the scope of the butterfly effect theory. The concept of event is classified as micro event and macro event. A table proposal containing macro events changing depending on the human, time, geography and space elements that affect the micro event, and maps created by taking the tables into consideration were used. Considering this table, the development of Bodrum from the ancient period to the present has been tried to be explained. As a result of the findings obtained from the tables, it was concluded that the human factor was more dominant in the development of Bodrum city.
