Özet (Çeviri)
Social space is the product of the relationship and harmony between activities, social events, and spatial practices of the individual in society. Lefebvre asserts that comprehending and interpreting space is the way that individuals can understand their society. The immediate surroundings are rich in stimuli and symbolism, with a visual essence that is saturated with social reality, and the social experiences shape how to interpret surroundings. They also have an impact on how to perceive the space. For this reason, flows that are perceived, interpreted, and experienced in several dimensions are used to produce space. Many processes result in the production of space, including political choices, historical occurrences, responses to these events, and changes to daily life. Thus, socially produced space finds its expression in squares. In this thesis, Lefebvre's triple dialectic is applied to analyze Al-Tahrir Square, which is considered one of the most important squares in Iraq. The square is used as an example to demonstrate a relationship between space and society and to investigate the idea that space is a social product. The social space is examined in the context of Al-Tahrir Square's historical development, along with the way it influences spatial practices, how it relates to social events, and how it evolved into a new product as a result of social and political developments.
