Özet
Bu araştırmada, COVİD – 19 salgını sebebiyle ara verilen eğitim sürecinde ortaöğretim öğrencilerinin uzaktan eğitime bakış açıları, uzaktan eğitim ile aldıkları matematik derslerine yönelik bakış açıları, ders çalışma düzenleri ve uzaktan eğitim derslerinde öğretmenlerinin kullandıkları materyallerin tespit edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda araştırmada nitel araştırma desenlerinden durum çalışması deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, 2019-2020 eğitim öğretim yılında, Sakarya ili Karasu ilçesinde 10, 11 ve 12. sınıfta öğrenimlerine devam eden, amaçlı örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilen 27 ortaöğretim öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri, demografik bilgi formu ve araştırmacı tarafından oluşturulan açık uçlu sorulardan oluşan form ile toplanmıştır. Katılımcılarla görüşmeler Google Meet programıyla kayda alınmış ve araştırmacı tarafından analizleri yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen verilere göre, ortaöğretim öğrencilerinin tamamı yüz yüze eğitimi tercih ettiklerini sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Uzaktan eğitimi seçmeme nedenleri ise internet problemi ve odaklanamama problemi ön plana çıktığı görülmüştür. Uzaktan eğitim matematik derslerinde ise yine yüz yüze eğitimi tercih ettiklerini, bunun nedenini ise öğretmen ile aynı ortamda olmaları olarak belirtirken, yine öğrenciler, öğretmenlerinin derslerde materyal olarak beyaz tahta uygulamaları ve e – kitaptan faydalandıklarını belirtmişlerdir.

In this study, it was aimed to determine the perspectives of secondary school students towards distance education, their perspectives towards mathematics courses they took with distance education, their study patterns and the materials used by their teachers in distance education courses during the education process interrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For this purpose, case study design, one of the qualitative research designs, was used in the study. The study group of the research consists of 27 secondary school students who are continuing their education in the 10th, 11th and 12th grades in Karasu district of Sakarya province in the 2019-2020 academic year, selected by purposeful sampling method. The data of the study were collected with a demographic information form and a form consisting of open-ended questions created by the researcher. Interviews with the participants were recorded with the Google Meet program and analyzed by the researcher. According to the data obtained as a result of the research, it was concluded that all of the secondary school students preferred face-to-face education. The reasons for not choosing distance education were the internet problem and the problem of not being able to focus. In distance education mathematics courses, students stated that they preferred face-to-face education and the reason for this was that they were in the same environment with the teacher, while the students also stated that their teachers used whiteboard applications and e-books as materials in the lessons.
