Özet

Araştırma, yoğun bakım hemşirelerine verilen eğitimin, kateterle ilişkili üriner enfeksiyonların önlenmesine yönelik bilgi ve tutumlarına etkisini değerlendirmek amacıyla, yarı deneysel tek gruplu ön test son test tasarım tipinde gerçekleştirildi. Araştırmanın evrenini Haziran 2022-Ocak 2023 tarihleri arasında bir Şehir Hastanesi Anestezi ve Yoğun bakım Ünitesi'nde çalışan, 104 hemşire, örneklemini ise araştırmaya katılmaya gönüllü 52 hemşire oluşturdu. Hemşirelere, kanıta dayalı rehberler ve literatür doğrultusunda geliştirilen eğitim kitapçığı ve Powerpoint sunusu kullanılarak eğitim verildi ve üç kez (eğitim öncesi, eğitimden hemen sonra ve eğitimden 1 ay sonra) değerlendirme yapıldı. Veriler Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Üriner Kateter Enfeksiyonu ile İlişkili Bilgi Düzeyi Anketi (ÜKE-BDA) ve Kateter İlişkili Üriner Sistem Enfeksiyonları Kontrol Önlemleri Ölçeği (KİÜSE- Kontrol Önlemleri Ölçeği) kullanılarak toplandı. Veriler SPSS IBM programı ile analiz edildi. ÜKE-BDA ön test toplam puan ortalamalarının 21,40±3,08, son test toplam puan ortalamalarının 31,83±1,41 ve izleme testi toplam puan ortalamalarının 29,04±2,57 olduğu belirlendi. Kİ-ÜSE Kontrol Önlemleri Ölçeği ön test puan ortalamalarının 68,60±3,80, son test puan ortalamalarının 73,13±2,87 ve izleme testi puan ortalamalarının 72,90±2,09 olduğu saptandı. The research was conducted in the form of a quasi-experimental single-group pretest-posttest design to evaluate the impact of the training provided to intensive care nurses on their knowledge and attitudes regarding the prevention of catheter-related urinary tract infections. The research was conducted between June 2022 and January 2023 in the Anesthesia and Intensive Care Unit of a City Hospital, with a population of 104 nurses working in the unit during this period. The sample consisted of 52 nurses who volunteered to participate in the research. Nurses were provided with education using evidence-based guidelines, a training booklet developed in line with the literature, and a PowerPoint presentation, were evaluated three times (pre-education, immediately after education, and 1 month after education). Data were collected using the Personal Information Form, Urinary Catheter Infection-Related Knowledge Level Questionnaire (UCI-KLQ), and Catheter- Associated Urinary Tract Infections Control Precautions Scale (CAUTI-CPS). The data were analyzed using the IBM SPSS program. The pre-test total score average of the UCI-KLQ was determined to be 21.40±3.08, the post-test total score average was 31.83±1.41, and the follow-up test total score average was 29.04±2.57. For the CAUTI-CPS, the pre-test score averages were 68.60±3.80, the post-test averages were 73.13±2.87, and the follow-up test averages were 72.90±2.09.
