Özet

Analysing the large data set has been a crucial concept for engineers and scientists for a long time. Because of that requirements, several data-driven methods have been developed, and data-driven techniques have become a prevalent subject in the last decades. This work presents and explains two modal decomposition techniques, the Proper Orthogonal Decomposition and the Dynamic Mode Decomposition. Furthermore, current applications of these methods are examined and interpreted. Moreover, the abilities of these methods are used to analyse synthetic data. Using both techniques, underlying dynamics of the data try to reveal. In addition, the white Gaussian noise is added to created synthetic data. The exact and standard DMD algorithms are compared to their ability to handle noisy data. Then, with the results of these investigations, the abilities and capabilities of these methods are discussed. Consequently, conclusions are stated, and recommendations for future works are given end of the work. Extended information about that subject can be found in the references.
