Özet
Mitoloji, geçmişten günümüze yaşanan ve gelecekte etkisini sürdürecek olan fikir veya düşüncelerin, toplumun kültür yapısının, inançların ortak noktası olduğunu kanıtlamaktadır. Mitler toplumun yaşamına etki etmesiyle temelini sinema sanatı anlatı yapısında bulmaktadır. Mitolojinin nesilden nesile aktarımında insan ve toplumun unsurları olan; inanç, kültür ve kimlik varlığının etki alanında devamlılığını sürdürmektedir. İnanç ve kültürel kalıplar içerisinde kurulan hikâyeler sinemanın anlatı örgüleri çerçevesinde ilerlemektedir. Sinema ve mitoloji birlikteliğinde anlatı yöntemleri evrensel biçimde kurulmaktadır. Mitolojinin evrensel nitelik taşıması ve toplumsal yapının işleyişinde kolektif nitelikler vardır. Bu tez çalışması kapsamında mitoloji ile kahramanın yolculuğu aşamaları konu alınarak ve örnek filmlerde işlenen; kültür, kimlik, dil gibi birçok unsurun geleneksel ve modern dönem arasındaki benzerlik ve karşıtların karşılaştırılması yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı, Dune: Çöl Gezegeni ve Bab'aziz filmlerinin Joseph Campbell'in mitoloji çalışmaları ve“Kahramanın Sonsuz Yolculuğu”modeline göre incelenerek, mitoloji, inanç ve yolculuk bağlamında analiz edilmesidir. Filmlerin içerik analizi, mitoloji ve kahramanın yolculuğu modelindeki birçok unsurların uyumlu olduğunu veya toplumsal kültürün oluşturduğu zıtlıkların etkisini ortaya koymaktadır. Filmlerin incelenmesinde, mitolojik özelliklerin kullanım amacı, toplumsal kültür ve inancın yarattığı zıtlıklar ile ortak bilincin kurduğu sembolik kimlik biçimi araştırılmıştır. Çalışmanın son bölümünde, filmlerin analizi ve karakterlerin olaylar çerçevesinde Campbell'in mitoloji ve kahramanın yolculuğu kuramının öğelerinin varlığı tespit edilerek aktarılmıştır.

Mythology proves that the ideas or thoughts that have been experienced from the past to the present and will continue to have an impact in the future are the common point of the cultural structure of the society and beliefs. Myths find their basis in the narrative structure of the art of cinema as they affect the life of society. In the transmission of mythology from generation to generation, human and society elements; belief, culture and identity continue to be in the sphere of influence of their existence. The stories, which are established within the beliefs and cultural patterns, proceed within the framework of the narrative patterns of cinema. In the combination of cinema and mythology, narrative methods are universally established. Mythology is universal and there are collective qualities in the functioning of the social structure. Within the scope of this thesis, the stages of mythology and the hero's journey are discussed and covered in sample films; The similarities and contrasts between the traditional and modern periods of many elements such as culture, identity and language were compared. The aim of the study is to analyze the films Dune: Desert Planet and Bab'aziz in the context of mythology, belief and journey by examining Joseph Campbell's mythology studies and the“Hero's Endless Journey”model. The content analysis of the films reveals that many elements in the model of mythology and the hero's journey are compatible or the effect of the contrasts created by social culture. In the examination of the films, the purpose of using mythological features, the contrasts created by social culture and belief, and the form of symbolic identity established by the common consciousness were investigated. In the last part of the study, the analysis of the films and the characters within the framework of the events of the elements of Campbell's mythology and hero's journey theory were determined and conveyed.
