Özet
Estetik, sanatın temel prensiplerini ve güzelliğin doğasını inceleyen bir alan olarak, sanat eserlerinin meydana getirilmesi ve yorumlanmasında hayati bir rol oynamaktadır. Türk müziği, kendine özgü makamları, usûlleri ve güfteleriyle zengin bir estetik mirasa sahiptir. Bu bağlamda, Şevkî Bey'in eserleri de Türk müziğinin estetik zenginliğinin bir parçasıdır. Hacı Ârif Bey ile başlayan Romantik Türk musikisi ekolünün en önemli temsilcilerinden biri olan Şevkî Bey'in eserleri, Türk müziği geleneği içinde önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Şevkî Bey'in besteleri, estetik açıdan zenginlik taşıyan ve kendine özgü bir tarza sahip eserlerdir. Ancak, Şevkî Bey'in bestecilik kimliğini belirleyen unsurların detaylı bir şekilde incelenmesi ve eserlerindeki estetik unsurların analizi, onun müzikal mirasının daha iyi anlaşılmasını sağlayabilir. Bu tez çalışması ile Şevkî Bey'in belirlenen on eserinde estetik değer ihtiva eden unsurlar belirlenmiş ve bu unsurların analizleri yapılmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu analizlerde, eserlerin melodik, ritmik, ve yapısal özellikleri, güftelerinin estetik katkıları ve mana prozodisi gibi unsurlar incelenmiştir. Ayrıca, bu unsurların eserlerin sanatsal ve estetik değerine nasıl katkıda bulunduğu değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmanın sonucunda, Şevkî Bey'in bestecilik kimliğine dair elde edilen bazı çıkarımlarla Türk musikisinde yeni bir alan açılmaya çalışılmıştır. Şevkî Bey'in incelenen eserlerindeki estetik unsurlar benzerlikler ve farklılıklar göstermektedir. Tüm eserlerde ortak olarak tespit edilen estetik unsurlar; eser içinde kullanılan çeşni ve geçkiler ile ifadelerin mana prozodisi bakımından etkisinin artırılarak makam kullanımında estetik unsurunun sağlanması, melodik hareketler aracılığıyla ezgisel harekette estetik unsurunun ortaya konması ve biçimde estetiği sağlayan elemanların kullanımıdır. Biçimde estetiği sağlayan unsurlar arasında; ezgisel birimde tekrar, ezgisel birimde sekileme, ezgisel birimde ses sürelerinin büyütülmesi ve küçültülmesi, ezgisel birime ses eklenmesi veya çıkarılması, ezgisel birimde çeşitleme ve ezgisel birimin ters çevrilmesi gibi uygulamalar yer almaktadır.

Aesthetics, as a field that examines the fundamental principles and nature of beauty in art, plays a crucial role in the creation and interpretation of artistic works. Turkish music possesses a rich aesthetic heritage with its distinctive modes, rhythms, and lyrics. In this context, the works of Şevkî Bey constitute a part of the aesthetic richness of Turkish music. The compositions of Şevkî Bey, one of the most significant representatives of the Romantic Turkish music school that began with Hacı Ârif Bey, hold a prominent place within the tradition of Turkish music. Şevkî Bey's compositions are characterized by their aesthetic richness and unique style. However, a detailed examination of the elements that define Şevkî Bey's compositional identity and the analysis of the aesthetic elements in his works can lead to a better understanding of his musical legacy. This thesis study aimed to identify aesthetic elements present in ten selected works of Şevkî Bey and analyze these elements. The analyses focused on the melodic, rhythmic, and structural features of the compositions, as well as the aesthetic contributions of their lyrics and the prosody of their meaning. Furthermore, the study evaluated how these elements contributed to the artistic and aesthetic value of the works. The findings of the study have attempted to open up new avenues in Turkish music with some insights into Şevkî Bey's compositional identity. The aesthetic elements in Şevkî Bey's examined works exhibit both similarities and differences. Common aesthetic elements identified across all works include enhancing the aesthetic element in the use of maqam through the effective use of embellishments, transitions, and expressions to amplify the impact on the prosody of meaning, revealing aesthetic elements in melodic motion through melodic movements, and utilizing elements that provide aesthetic appeal in the structure. Among the elements contributing to aesthetic form are practices such as repetition within the melodic unit, shaping within the melodic unit, manipulation of sound durations within the melodic unit, addition or removal of sounds within the melodic unit, variation within the melodic unit, and inversion of the melodic unit.
