Özet

Video-ocular Counter Roll (vOCR) testinin torsiyonel göz hareketini güçlü bir şekilde doğrulukla kaydetmesiyle otolitleri ve bunların santral bağlantılarını değerlendirmeye yarayan bir testtir. Bu çalışmada Meniere hastalarında vOCR testinin değerlendirmesi ve bu testin cVEMP (Cervical Vestibüler Uyarılmış Miyojenik Potansiyel) ve oVEMP (Ocular Vestibüler Uyarılmış Miyojenik Potansiyel) testleriyle korelasyonu incelenmiş ve bu sayede uygulanacak olan vOCR testinin Meniere hastalığının tanısına yardımcı olabilecek ve takibinde klinik rutinde kullanımının öneminin gösterilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmaya 30-65 yaş arası Meniere hastalarında (MH) 20 kadın 13 erkek ve kontrol grubundan 20 kadın 13 erkek gönüllü toplam 66 kişi dahil edildi. Katılımcılara sırasıyla oVEMP, cVEMP ve vOCR testleri uygulandı. Sonuçlara bakıldığında Meniere Hastalarının patoloji yönüne göre vOCR değeri karşılaştırıldığında patoloji yönü solda olanların sol tilt pozisyonundaki statik vOCR değerleri, patoloji yönü sağda olanların sağ tilt pozisyonundaki statik vOCR değerleri istatiksel olarak düşük elde edildi (p0,05). Sonuçlar doğrultusunda vOCR'nin oVEMP ve cVEMP yerine kullanabileceğimiz bir test olduğu ve gelecekteki çalışmalarda ve klinik uygulamalarda test bataryası olarak kullanılabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır.

The Video Ocular Counter Roll (vOCR) test is a test that evaluates the otoliths and their central connections by recording torsional eye movements with high accuracy. In this study, the evaluation of the vOCR test in Meniere's disease and the correlation of this test with cVEMP (Cervikal Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potentials) and oVEMP (Ocular Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potentials) tests were investigated to demonstrate the importance of the vOCR test in assisting in the diagnosis and follow-up of Meniere's disease in clinical practice. A total of 66 subjects aged 30-65 years, 20 female and 13 male Meniere's Disease (MD) and 20 female and 13 male volunteers from the control group were included in the study. Participants were sequentially subjected to oVEMP, cVEMP and vOCR tests. When the vOCR values of Meniere's disease were compared according to the direction of pathology, the static vOCR values in the left tilt position of patients with left pathology direction and the static vOCR values in the right tilt position of patients with right pathology direction were statistically lower (p0.05). According to the results, it was concluded that vOCR is a test that we can use instead of oVEMP and cVEMP and can be used as a test battery in future studies and clinical applications.
