Özet
Kentler, geçmişten günümüze kadar fiziksel, toplumsal, ekonomik ve kültürel dinamiklerin etkisiyle meydana gelen bir gelişim süreci yaşamışlardır. Kentlerin gelişim seyrini anlamak ve geleceğine yönelik öngörülerde bulunabilmek adına bu dinamikleri ve birbirleri ile etkileşimini kavramak önemlidir. Kentlerin ekonomik dinamiğini oluşturan bir unsur olarak karşımıza çıkan üretim biçimlerinin farklılaşması, kentlerin mekânsal organizasyonunun biçimlenmesinde belirleyici bir rol üstlenmektedir. Bu kapsamda Bursa, tarihi boyunca üretimin ön planda olduğu bir kent olarak bu sürecin mekânsal değişimini okumak adına uygun bir çerçeve çizmektedir. Kentin günümüzdeki yapısına bakıldığında, sanayi sektörünün kent ve ülke bazında önemli bir konumda olduğu gözlemlenmektedir. Bursa'da sanayi fonksiyonlarının ön plana çıkması, kentin geçmişteki üretim faaliyetlerine dayanmaktadır. Kentin geçmişte sahip olduğu ipekçilik faaliyetleri, hammadde üretim ve dağıtım sürecini tetiklemiş ve ipek hammaddesi üzerinden tekstil sanayiinin oluşmasına zemin hazırlamıştır. Sanayileşme sürecinde uygulanan politikaların etkisiyle kentteki sanayi çeşitlenmiş ve günümüzdeki formuna ulaşmıştır. Bu süreçler dahilinde ekonomik yapı ve mekansal organizasyon bağlamında meydana gelen değişimler; kentteki farklılaşmanın ve kent formunun ortaya çıkmasında etkin rol oynamıştır. Bu noktada,“Bursa'da sanayi faaliyetleri ve mekânsal dönüşümlerin birbirini karşılıklı olarak yönlendirdiği ve bu durumun kent makroformunun değişiminde belirleyici bir rol oynadığı”ve“ipek üretimi ile başlayan ticaret ve üretim faaliyetlerinden günümüzdeki sanayi dokusuna nasıl ulaşıldığı ve bu süreçte sanayi ve kent mekanının ilişkisel olarak birbirini nasıl şekillendirdiği”sorusu ile planlamanın ilişkisel süreç içindeki rolünün incelenmesi bu çalışmanın temel motivasyonunu oluşturmuştur. Çalışmanın yöntemi, çalışma alanına dair veri havuzunun oluşturmak üzere“literatür taraması”, analiz için gerekli plan ve raporları edinmek üzere“veri toplama”ve elde edilen veriler dahilinde“harita üretimi”olarak belirlenmiştir. Bu kapsamda, Bursa'da sanayileşme ve üretim faaliyetleri, ekonomik ve mekansal etkenler dahilinde kronolojik olarak incelenmiştir. Elde edilen veriler ise dönemsel olarak kent dokusu ve şehir planları ile birlikte değerlendirilmiştir. Yapılan haritalama ve analiz çalışmaları üzerinden sanayi faaliyetlerinin ve kent planlarının birbirleri ile nasıl bağlantılar kurduğu ve sonuç olarak kent makroformunun nasıl şekillendiği ele alınmıştır.

Cities have been subject to a development process that occurred under the influence of physical, social, economic and cultural dynamics from past to present. It is important to comprehend these dynamics and their interaction with each other in order to understand the course of development of cities and make predictions about their future. The differentiation on mode of production, which is an element that forms the economic dynamics of cities, plays a decisive role in shaping the spatial organization of cities. In this context, Bursa, as a city where production has been at the forefront throughout its history, draws a suitable framework to read the spatial change of this process. When we look at the current structure of the city, it is observed that the industrial sector has an important position on a city and country basis. The prominence of industrial functions in Bursa is based on the city's past production activities. The city's past silk culture activities triggered the raw material production and distribution process and paved the way for the formation of the textile industry based on silk raw material. The industry in the city diversified and reached its current form with the influence of the policies implemented during the industrialization process. Changes occurring in the context of economic structure and spatial organization within these processes; It played an active role in the emergence of differentiation and urban form in the city. At this point, through that“industrial activities and spatial transformations in Bursa mutually direct each other and this plays a decisive role in the change of the urban macroform”; responded by the main motivation of this study is to examine the role of planning in the relational process with the question of“how did today's industrial texture come from the trade and production activities that started with silk production, and how did the industry and urban space shape each other relationally in this process?”. The method of the study was determined as“literature scanning”to create a data pool for the study area,“data collection”to obtain the necessary plans and reports for analysis, and“map preparation”within the data obtained. In this context, industrialization and production activities in Bursa were examined chronologically within the scope of economic and spatial factors. The data obtained was evaluated periodically together with the urban texture and city plans. Through the mapping and analysis studies, it is discussed how industrial activities and urban plans establish connections with each other and, as a result, how the urban macroform is shaped.
