Özet
Gerçekleştirilen bu araştırmada, 2020-2021 MEB onaylı özel yayınevi ve 2021-2022 yıllarına ait MEB yayınevi 5, 6 ve 7. Sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitaplarında karikatür kullanımının durumunu analiz etmek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada, nitel bir araştırma yöntemi olan doküman analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada 2020-2021 MEB onaylı özel yayınevi 5. Sınıf, 6. Sınıf, 7. Sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitapları ile 2021-2022 MEB yayınevi 5. Sınıf, 6. Sınıf, 7. Sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitapları incelenmiştir. Elde edilen bu verilerin analizinde, içerik analizi yöntemi uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgularda 2021-2022 eğitim öğretim yılındaki MEB yayınevine ait sosyal bilgiler ders kitaplarındaki karikatür sayısının, 2020-2021 eğitim öğretim yılındaki MEB onaylı özel yayınevine ait sosyal bilgiler ders kitaplarındaki karikatür sayısına göre daha fazla olduğu görülmüştür. Sosyal bilgiler dersinin önemine ve kazandırılacak olan becerilere yönelik karikatür kullanımının gereğine değinilmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgulara yönelik önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

In this research, it was aimed to analyze the status of the use of cartoons in the 5th, 6th and 7th grade social studies textbooks of the 2020-2021 MEB-approved private publishing house and the 2021-2022 MEB publishing house. Document analysis, a qualitative research method, was used in the research. In the research, 2020-2021 MEB-approved private publishing house 5th Grade, 6th Grade, 7th Grade Social Studies Textbooks and 2021-2022 MEB publishing house 5th Grade, 6th Grade, 7th Grade Social Studies Textbooks were examined. In the analysis of these data obtained, content analysis method was applied. In the findings obtained, it was seen that the number of cartoons in the Social Studies textbooks of the MEB publishing house in the 2021-2022 academic year was higher than the number of cartoons in the Social Studies textbooks of the MEB-approved private publishing house in the 2020-2021 academic year. The importance of the social studies course and the need to use cartoons for the skills to be taught were mentioned. Suggestions were made regarding the findings obtained from the research.
