SUMMARY Keywords : Total Quality, ISO 9000, Turkish Iron and Steel Industry The aim of this study is to give knowledge about applications of total quality concept in Turkish iron and steel industry. Total quality management is shortly to fix the customer requirements at present and future, meanwhile to supply entirely in economical way in a frame of continuously developing and improving. As a result; in time, development of management idea which contains“TOTAL”and“QUALITY”concepts taking shape and relations each other are studied to determine the position that in Turkish iron and steel industry. Consequently; an inquiry form is dispatched to iron and steel companies in our country to support of this study. Today, there are totally 20 of integrated and electric arc furnace institutions in our country which works according to their own quality conditions but have to supply Total Quality Conditions. As a result of many institutions inefficient perseverance in this way; low production efficiency and high costs and loss. IX «dSSSSS?
