Mental health, psychological well being, and social interactions have all been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Many pet owners and non-pet owners were disproportionately affected. Single adults faced more challenging conditions and deal with stress more severely, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. This is especially evident when the individual is under a lot of stress or going through a difficult time in life. Single adult pet owners and non-pet owners are the group from which I am collecting data for my project. This study examined at the impacts of pet ownership on mental health and coping with social isolation among adults during covid-19 pandemic in the current global context. Our goal is to assess possible effects of owning a pet on mental health problems, self-esteem issues, coping with the stress and the adversity of social isolation faced by pet owners and non-pet owners during the Covid-19 epidemic. It has been found that pet ownership has no significant impact on Covid anxiety, depression and resilience level of participants.
