Özet

Chaiturus ve Leonurus, Lamiaceae familyasında yer alan ve birbirine morfolojik açıdan benzeyen iki cinstir. Morfolojik benzerlikler taksonomik problemlere yol açmaktadır. Bu yüzden, bu tezde Türkiye'de yetişen Chaiturus ve Leonurus türlerinin anatomisi, makro ve mikromorfolojisi daha detaylı bir şekilde incelenerek taksonomik sorunların çözümüne katkı sağlanması amaçlanmıştır. Ayrıca, bu çalışmada ilgili cinslere ait türlerin kimyasal içeriği ve antioksidan etkisi araştırılmıştır. C. marrubiastrum, L. cardiaca, L. glaucescens, L. persicus ve L. quinquelobatus türlerinin kök, gövde ve yaprak anatomisi parafin metoduyla, gövde, yaprak, kaliks, korolla, nutlet ve polen morfolojisi SEM ve stereomikroskopla incelenmiş ve DPPH, fenol ve flavonoid miktarları karşılaştırılmıştır. Chaiturus ve Leonurus türlerinin anatomik ve mikromorfolojik yönden birçok farklılıkları bulunmaktadır. DPPH seviyesi ile fenol ve flavonoid miktarları yönünden ise Chaiturus ve Leonurus türleri arasında oldukça büyük farklılıklar bulunmaktadır.

Chaiturus and Leonurus are two genera in the family Lamiaceae that are morphologically similar to each other. Therefore, morphological similarities lead to taxonomic problems. In this thesis, it is aimed to contribute to the solution of this taxonomic problem by comprehensively examining the anatomy, macro and micro morphology of Chaiturus and Leonurus species grown in Türkiye. Moreover, in this study the chemical content and antioxidant activity of the species belonging to the genera concerned were investigated. The root, stem and leaf anatomy of C. marrubiastrum, L. cardiaca, L. glaucescens, L. persicus and L. quinquelobatus were examined by paraffin method, their stem, leaf, calyx, corolla, nutlet and pollen morphologies were examined by means of SEM and stereomicroscope and DPPH, phenol and flavonoid amounts were compared. Chaiturus and Leonurus species have many differences in anatomical and micromorphological aspects. There are large differences between Chaiturus and Leonurus species in terms of DPPH level and phenol and flavonoid amounts.
