Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı ortaokul matematik ders kitaplarında (OMDK) yer alan içeriklerin sanat ile ilişkilendirilmesinin incelenmesidir. Bu araştırmada nitel veri analiz metotlarından doküman inceleme metodu kullanılmıştır. Dokümanlardan OMDK ilişkilendirme tespit edilen bölümün hangi sınıf seviyesinde olduğu, ilgili öğrenme ve alt öğrenme alanı, kazanım numarası, ilişkilendirilen sanat dalı (resim, heykel, mimari, edebiyat, müzik, tiyatro, sinema) incelenmiştir. Ayrıca matematik ve sanat ilişkilendirmesinin içeriği; içerik görsel uyumu, ilgili metnin sanatla ilişkisinin vurgusu, görselin dikkat çekiciliği ve görselin yaşa uygunluğu kriterlerine göre değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler ışığında yazılan bulgular; betimsel analize tabi tutularak tablolar ve kitaplardan alınan içerikler ile sunulmuştur. Yapılan incelemede 57 adet matematik ve sanat ilişkilendirme içeriği tespit edilmiştir. Genel olarak OMDK bakıldığında bu bölümler en çok çözümlü sorular, en az ise etkinlik konumunda yer almaktadır. Bölümlerin neredeyse yarısı yedinci sınıf seviyesinde bulunmuştur. Altıncı sınıf OMDK ise az sayıda ilişkilendirme saptanmıştır. Matematik ve sanat ilişkilendirmesi bütün sınıf seviyelerinde en çok resim dalında tespit edilmiştir. Tespit edilen bu ilişkilendirme yedinci sınıf seviyesinde geometri ve ölçme öğrenme alanı, cisimlerin farklı yönlerden gönümü alt öğrenme alanı ile ilgilidir. En az bölüm ise matematik ve sinema ilişkilendirmesi üzerinedir. Matematik ve mimari ilişkilendirilmesine ise OMDK rastlanmamıştır. OMDK'de yer alan matematik ve sanat ilişkilendirmesi tespit edilen bölümlerin kriterlere göre incelenme sonucunda altıncı sınıf OMDK belirlenen bölümlerinin hepsi uygun olarak değerlendirilirken diğer kademelerde bölümlerin çoğunluğu uygun olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Sadece ilgili metnin sanatla ilişkisinin vurgulanması kriterine göre yedinci sınıf OMDK yarısından fazlası geliştirilmeli olarak yorumlanmıştır. Çalışmanın sonucunda öğretim programı ve ders kitabı yazarlarına, öğretmenlere ve araştırmacılara uygulamaya ilişkin önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

The aim of this research is to examine the association of the contents in middle school mathematics textbooks (OMDK) with art. In this research, the document review method, one of the qualitative data analysis methods, was used. From the documents, the grade level of the department with the OMDK association, the relevant learning and sub-learning field, the achievement number, and the associated art branch (painting, sculpture, architecture, literature, music, theater, cinema) were examined. In addition, the content of the math-art association was evaluated according to the criteria of content-visual harmony, the emphasis of the relationship of the relevant text with art, the strikingness of the visual, and the age-appropriateness of the visual. The findings written in the light of the obtained data were presented with tables and contents taken from the books by subjecting them to descriptive analysis. 51 art-mathematical association contents were identified in the examination. When the OMDK is examined in general, these sections are mostly in the solved questions position and the least in the activity position. Almost half of the sections were found at the seventh grade level. In the sixth grade OMDK, few associations were detected. Art-mathematical associations were detected mostly in the painting branch at all grade levels. This identified association is related to the geometry and measurement learning area at the seventh grade level, and the viewing of objects from different directions sub-learning area. The least section is on the mathematics-cinema association. No mathematics-architecture association was found in OMDK. As a result of the examination of the sections in which mathematics-art association was detected in OMDK according to the criteria, all of the sections determined in the sixth grade OMDK were evaluated as appropriate, while the majority of the sections in other levels were evaluated as appropriate. According to the criterion of emphasizing only the relationship of the relevant text with art, more than half of the seventh grade OMDK was interpreted as needing development. As a result of the study, suggestions were made regarding the implementation to the curriculum and textbook writers, teachers and researchers.
