Her iki gruptaki hastalar rutin farmakolojik tedavilerine devam etti. Egzersiz grubundaki hastalara ek olarak 12 hafta boyunca, haftanın iki günü, fizyoterapist gözetiminde Mat Pilates Egzersiz programı sekizer kişilik gruplar şeklinde uygulandı. Kontrol grubuna ek bir egzersiz önerisinde bulunulmadı. Tüm hastalar çalışma başlangıcında ve 12 hafta sonrasında fiziksel performans, fonksiyonel durum, gövde kaslarının enduransı, hastalık aktivitesi, spinal mobilite, yorgunluk, duygu durum ve hastalıkla ilişkili yaşam kalitesi açısından kör bir değerlendirici tarafından değerlendirildi. Bulgular: Çalışma toplamda 43 PsA hastası (egzersiz grubu=22, kontrol grubu=21) ile tamamlandı. Çalışma bitiminde, egzersiz grubunda depresyon dışında tüm parametrelerde anlamlı iyileşmeler saptanırken (p<0,05), kontrol grubunda istatistiksel olarak bir değişim saptanmadı (p>0,05). Çalışma boyunca elde edilen değişimler gruplar arası karşılaştırıldığında fleksiyon yönünde spinal mobilite ve depresyon parametreleri hariç değerlendirilen tüm parametrelerde egzersiz grubunun kontrol grubuna göre daha fazla gelişme gösterdiği tespit edildi (p<0,05). Sonuçlar: PsA'lı kadın hastalarda, rutin farmakolojik tedaviye ek olarak grup egzersizi şeklinde haftada iki kez uygulanan 12 haftalık mat Pilates egzersiz programı, fiziksel hastalıkla ilişkili sağlık durumunu geliştirme açısından ek faydalara sahiptir.
Özet (Çeviri)
Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of a mat Pilates exercise program in women with psoriatic arthritis (PsA). Methods: The study included 48 women with PsA. After the baseline assessments were completed, the patients were randomly divided into two groups as exercise group (n=24) and control group (n=24) using the sealed envelope method. Patients in both groups continued their routine pharmacological treatment. Patients in the exercise group were additionally administered the Mat Pilates Exercise program in groups of eight for 12 weeks, two days a week, under the supervision of a physiotherapist. No additional exercise was recommended to the control group. All patients were evaluated by a blinded evaluator at the beginning of the study and after 12 weeks in terms of physical performance, functional status, trunk muscle endurance, disease activity, spinal mobility, fatigue, emotional state and disease-related quality of life. Results: The study was completed with a total of 43 PsA patients (exercise group=22, control group=21). At the end of the study, significant improvements were found in all parameters except depression in the exercise group (p<0.05), while no statistically significant change was found in the control group (p>0.05). When the changes found during the study were compared between the groups, it was determined that the exercise group showed a significant improvement compared to the control group in all parameters evaluated except for spinal mobility in the flexion direction and depression parameters (p<0.05). Conclusion: In women with PsA, a 12-week mat Pilates exercise program performed twice a week as a group exercise in addition to routine pharmacological treatment has additional benefits in terms of improving disease-related health status.
