Özet
2023-2024 yıllarında Batman Arkeoloji Müzesi'nde yapılan bir keşif gezisinde Bizans sikkesine ait parçalar bulunmuştur. Bu sikkelerin 3 adedi altın, kalan 106 adedi ise bakır/bronzdur. Bizans sikke kataloğu, Anastasius (MS 491 ve 518) sikkesiyle başlar. 1. Manuel Komnenos (MS 1143 ve 1180) sikkesiyle sona erer. Batman Arkeoloji Müzesi'nde araştırma malzemesi olarak hizmet veren 109 adet Bizans sikkesi bulunmaktadır. Eserin katalog kısmında müzede bulunan sikkelerin stok numaraları listelenmektedir. Aşağıdaki 109 Bizans sikkesi Batman Arkeoloji Müzesi sikke koleksiyonunda bulunmuştur. Bu tez içerisinde değerlendirilen sikkeler, yaygın nümismatik yayınların kabul ettiği sistemce katalog oluşturulmuştur. Bu sisteme göre Bizans imparator ve imparatoriçeler, darp yerleri, madeni paralar ile birimler kronolojik olarak takip ediliyordu. Ayrıca Batman müzesinde bulunan Bizans sikkeleri tespit edilip, madeni paraların görüntüleri arkalı önlü çekilip en net biçimde katalogda yer verilmiştir. Tüm bilgiler Batman müzesinden alınıp doğru bir biçimde bilimsel açıdan değerlendirilip açıklanmıştır. Katalogda yer alan madeni paraların ön ve arka yüzünde figür ve yıl görülmektedir. Madeni paranın altın ve gümüş biriminde metali, ağırlığı ve çapı ele alınmıştır. Bakır birimler için de önce çap, sonra ağırlık dikkate alınıp tez bölümüne eklenmiştir. Ardından bibliyografik bilgiler ve madeni para envanter sayısı ele alınmıştır. Burda Dumbarton Oaks kataloğu, anonim A2 grubunun madeni para kronolojisi ve açıklamaları dikkate alındı. Ortaya çıkan yeni tipler ise, o türün benzer varyasyonunun sonuna eklenilmiştir.

During an expedition carried out in the Batman Archaeological Museum in 2023-2024, pieces of Byzantine coin were found. 3 of these coins are gold and the remaining 106 are copper/bronze. The Byzantine coin catalog begins with the coin of Anastasius (AD 491-518) and ends with the coin of Manuel I Komnenos (AD 1143-1180). There are 109 Byzantine coins serving as research materials in the Batman Archaeological Museum. In the catalog section of the work, the stock numbers of the coins in the museum are listed. The following 109 Byzantine coins were found in the coin collection of Batman Archaeological Museum. The coins evaluated in this thesis have been cataloged according to the system accepted by widespread numismatic publications. According to this system, Byzantine emperors and empresses, minting places, coins and units were tracked chronologically. In addition, the Byzantine coins in the Batman museum were identified and the images of the coins were taken front and back and included in the catalog in the clearest form. All information was taken from the Batman museum, evaluated and explained accurately from a scientific perspective. The figure and year can be seen on the front and back of the coins in the catalogue. The metal, weight and diameter of the coin in gold and silver units are discussed. For copper units, first the diameter and then the weight were taken into account and added to the thesis section. Then, bibliographic information and coin inventory number were discussed. Here, the Dumbarton Oaks catalogue, the coin chronology and descriptions of the anonymous A2 group were taken into account. The new types that emerged were added to the end of the similar variation of that species.
