Özet
Bu çalışma, geç dönem Osmanlı'dan erken Cumhuriyet dönemine uzanan süreçte Türk düşünürlerin eserleri üzerinden birey ve toplum kavramlarının dönüşümünü ve bu dönüşümün yapısal sorunlarını inceler. Eserlerde birey ve toplum yerine sıklıkla fert, kişi, cemaat ve cemiyet kavramlarının kullanıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Çalışma, anlam bütünlüğü sağlamak amacıyla birey ve toplum kavramları ekseninde inşa edilmiştir. Yöntem olarak felsefi düşünce benimsenmiş ve siyasi ya da tarihî olaylara yapılan atıflardan ziyade kavramsal analizlere odaklanılmıştır. Doğrudan bir teoriyi temel almaktan ziyade, dönemin düşünürlerinin eserlerinden hareketle bir sonuca ulaşma hedeflenmiştir. Araştırma neticesinde, düşünürlerin birey ve topluma ilişkin kapsamlı bir anlam inşa etme gayretinden ziyade, bu kavramları dönemin sorunlarını ifade etmek için kullandıkları tespit edilmiştir.

This study examines the concepts of individual and society through the works of Turkish thinkers who lived in the late Ottoman and early Republican periods. The thinkers used the concepts of individual, person, community, and society instead of individual and society in their works. The text is built on the concepts of individuals and society to ensure the integrity of meaning. In the study, an effort was made to reveal these concepts' structural features and values. Therefore, philosophical thought was used as a method. In the works of the thinkers, the issues that refer to political or historical events on the subject of individual and society were not mentioned, and the research problems were determined without moving away from philosophical thought, which is the basis of the study. In this context, the study was not centered on a direct theory, but an effort was made to reach a conclusion through the works of thinkers. As a result, it was determined in the study that the thinkers did not try to find meaning for the individual and society and that they used these concepts to express the problems of their time.
