Özet
Günümüz iş dünyasında artan belirsizlikler, rekabet ortamındaki çeşitlilik ve hızlı teknolojik ilerlemeler, işletmelerin rekabet avantajı sağlayabilmesi için entelektüel sermayenin stratejik bir odak noktası haline geldiğini ortaya koymaktadır. Son yirmi yılda, işletmelerin stratejik kaynaklarına yönelik farkındalığı ve bu kaynakların ölçümlenmesine verilen önem önemli ölçüde artmıştır. Günümüz rekabet ortamı işletmeleri, kolayca taklit edilemeyen ve maddi olmayan varlıklar yoluyla rekabet avantajlarını geliştirmeye zorlamaktadır. Bu bağlamda, entelektüel sermaye, işletme performansının kritik bir itici gücü olarak öne çıkmaktadır. Entelektüel sermayenin gerçek değerinin ortaya çıktığı nokta, temel yetenekler konsepti ile ilişkilendirilmektedir. Temel yetenekler, bir işletmenin sürdürülebilir rekabet avantajı sağlamak için eşsiz özelliklerini veya ürünlerini ön plana çıkardığı alanlar olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Bu bağlamda, entelektüel sermayenin temel yetenekleri etkilediği ve bu etkinin, işletmelerin öncelikle hayatta kalmak, ardından da rekabet avantajı elde etmek amacıyla stratejik olarak kullanıldığı belirtilmektedir. Bununla birlikte, çevresel belirsizlik algısı, entelektüel sermaye ile temel yetenekler arasındaki ilişkinin gücünü ve yönünü belirleyen önemli bir aracı değişken olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Çevresel belirsizlik algısının dikkate alınmadığı modeller, genelleme yapmayı güçleştirebilmektedir. Bu bağlamda gerçekleştirilen tez çalışmasında, entelektüel sermaye ile temel yetenekler arasındaki etkileşimler ve çevresel belirsizlik algısının aracılık rolü, Hayes proses makrosu tekniğiyle incelenmiştir. Araştırmada veri toplama yöntemi olarak anket formları tercih edilmiş ve örneklem, yenilikçi girişimlerde aktif rol alan girişimcilerden ve diğer işletme yöneticilerinden oluşmuştur. 286 katılımcıya ait veriler analiz sürecine dâhil edilmiştir. Veri analizlerinde SPSS yazılımı kullanılmış, oluşturulan hipotezler Hayes Proses Makrosu ile test edilmiştir. Araştırma bulguları, entelektüel sermayenin temel yetenekler üzerindeki etkisinin çevresel belirsizlik algısının alt boyutları olan endüstrideki teknoloji ve rekabet aracılık rolü ile şekillendiğini ortaya koymuştur.

In today's business world, increasing uncertainties, the diversity of competitive environments, and rapid technological advancements have positioned intellectual capital as a strategic focal point for achieving competitive advantage. Over the past two decades, there has been a significant increase in the awareness of strategic resources and the emphasis placed on measuring these assets within organizations. The contemporary competitive environment compels businesses to enhance their competitive advantage through intangible assets that are difficult to replicate. Within this context, intellectual capital has emerged as a critical driver of business performance. The true value of intellectual capital becomes apparent in its association with the concept of core competencies. Core competencies are defined as the distinctive competencies or unique characteristics of an organization that enable it to secure sustainable competitive advantage. Intellectual capital is recognized as influencing core competencies, with this influence strategically utilized by businesses initially for survival and subsequently to achieve competitive superiority. Moreover, the perception of environmental uncertainty is considered a significant mediating variable, determining the strength and direction of the relationship between intellectual capital and core competencies. Models that fail to account for the perception of environmental uncertainty may face challenges in generating accurate and generalizable findings. In this context, the thesis examines the interactions between intellectual capital and core competencies, focusing on the mediating role of perceived environmental uncertainty using the Hayes Process Macro technique. Survey forms were utilized as the primary data collection method, and the sample consisted of entrepreneurs actively engaged in innovative startups. Data from 286 participants were included in the analysis. The data were analyzed using SPSS software, and the hypotheses were tested using the Hayes Process Macro technique. The findings revealed that the impact of intellectual capital on core competencies is shaped by the mediating role of the subdimensions of perceived environmental uncertainty, specifically technology and competition within the industry.
