Karbon fiber takviyeli hibrit kompozitlerde, her iki katkı maddesinin de çekme gerilim değerlerinde artış sağladığı, Zr katkılı kompozitlerde, %1.5 katkı oranında maksimum değer elde edilirken; Hf katkılı kompozitlerde, katkı oranı arttıkça çekme gerilim değerlerinin arttığı gözlemlenmiştir. Zr ve Hf katkılarının tüm kompozitlerin ILSS (tabakalar arası kayma mukavemeti) değerlerini artırdığı gözlemlenmiştir. DSC analizinde ise her iki katkı maddesinin polimerleşme entalpi değerlerinde düşmeye neden olduğu gözlemlenmiştir. SEM-EDS ile mikroyapı analizleri yapılmıştır.
Özet (Çeviri)
Carbon fiber reinforced polymer composites have an important place particularly in the aerospace industry. It is known that the performance of composites can be improved by adding various additives in low amounts, without increasing their weight or adversely affecting their processability. In this study, hybrid carbon fiber reinforced polymer matrix composites were produced by adding varying amounts of Zr and Hf into the epoxy resin, and the effects of these additives on the thermal and mechanical properties of the composites were investigated. For this purpose, Zr and Hf powders were separately added to the epoxy resin at 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, and 2% weight ratios and cured at different temperatures. The density and volumetric calculations of the samples, Shore D hardness measurements were performed and the effects of curing temperatures on the sample surfaces were investigated. Then, Zr and Hf powders at the same weight ratios were added to the epoxy resin and applied to the carbon fibers using the hand lay-up method, followed by a curing process at 23°C using the vacuum bagging technique. DSC, tensile, and bending tests and SEM-EDS analysis were performed on the produced composites. As a result of the study, it was observed that the Zr and Hf additions in the particle-reinforced composites resulted in an increase in the density and volume of all samples cured at 23°C, while causing a slight decrease in the Shore D hardness values. It was observed that the increase in curing temperature caused degradation on the sample surfaces. In carbon fiber reinforced hybrid composites, it was observed that both additives resulted in an increase in tensile stress values. The maximum value was obtained at a 1.5% addition ratio in Zr-doped composites, while in Hf-doped composites, tensile stress values increased as the addition ratio increased. It was observed that the additions of Zr and Hf increased the ILSS (interlaminar shear strength) values of all the composites. In the DSC analysis, it was observed that both additives caused a decrease in the polymerization enthalpy values. Microstructural analyses were performed using SEM-EDS.
