Ağır F., Postmenopozal Dönemdeki Kadınların Toplumsal Cinsiyet Rolleri Tutumlarının Menopoz Tutumuna ve Menopoz Semptomlarına Etkisi, Hacettepe Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Enstitüsü Doğum ve Kadın Hastalıkları Hemşireliği Programı Yüksek Lisans Tezi, Ankara, 2025. Bu araştırma, postmenopozal dönemdeki kadınların toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri tutumlarının menopoz tutumuna ve menopoz semptomlarına etkisini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Tanımlayıcı tipte yapılan araştırma, Muş Devlet Hastanesi Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum Polikliniğinde 2 Ocak-31 Mart tarihleri arasında yürütülmüştür. Araştırmaya postmenopozal dönemdeki 385 kadın dahil edilmiştir. Veriler Tanıtıcı Bilgiler Formu, Toplumsal Cinsiyet Rolleri Tutum Ölçeği, Menopoza İlişkin Tutum Ölçeği, Menopoz Semptomları Değerlendirme Ölçeği kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde tanımlayıcı istatistikler, pearson korelasyon testi ve basit regresyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan kadınların yaş ortalaması 53,86±4,21'dir. Postmenopozal dönemdeki kadınların Toplumsal Cinsiyet Rolleri Tutum Ölçeği puan ortalaması 119,20±14,47, Menopoza İlişkin Tutum Ölçeği puan ortalaması 35,12±8,74, Menopoz Semptomları Değerlendirme Ölçeği puan ortalaması 24,64±7,16 olarak bulunmuştur. Ağır F., The Effect of Gender Role Attitudes of Postmenopausal Women on Menopause Attitude and Menopause Symptoms, Hacettepe University Health Sciences Institute, Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing Program Master's Thesis, Ankara, 2025. This study was conducted to examine the effects of gender role attitudes of postmenopausal women on menopause attitudes and menopause symptoms. This descriptive study was conducted in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Polyclinic of Muş State Hospital between January 2nd and March 31st. The study included 385 postmenopausal women. Data were collected using the Introductory Information Form, Gender Roles Attitude Scale, Menopause Attitude Scale, and Menopause Symptoms Assessment Scale. Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation test and simple linear regression analysis were used in the analysis of the data. The average age of the women participating in the study was 53.86±4.21. According to the results of the study, the average score of the women in the postmenopausal period on the Gender Roles Attitude Scale was 119.20±14.47, the average score on the Attitude Towards Menopause Scale was 35.12±8.74 and the average score on the Menopause Symptoms Assessment Scale was 24.64±7.16. A statistically significant and low, positive correlation was found between gender role attitudes and attitudes toward menopause (r = 0.291, p < 0.001), while a statistically significant and low, negative correlation was found between gender role attitudes and menopausal symptoms (r = –0.237, p < 0.001). According to the results of the simple regression analysis, gender roles explain 8.5% of the variance in menopause attitudes and 5.6% of the variance in menopause symptoms. The explanatory power ratios of 8.5% and 5.6% obtained from the regression analysis are low but significant. This situation shows that variables other than gender roles may also have an effect on menopause attitudes and symptoms. It is recommended that these variables (education level, social support, marital status, etc.) be included in future studies. It is thought that egalitarian attitudes towards gender roles may positively affect menopause attitudes and contribute to experiencing symptoms with less severity. Therefore, it is recommended that nursing-focused education and counseling programs be developed to help women in the perimenopausal period recognize gender inequality and strengthen their skills in coping with menopause.
